Mark Ingram News

Mark Ingram Quiet But Assertive

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram rushed for 47 yards on 13 carries Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Ingram led the backfield in touches, as Gus Edwards and Justice Hill were given a combined four carries for 15 yards. The veteran was briefly involved in the passing game, catching both of his targets for 30 yards. Ingram exited the game briefly for what looked like a back injury but returned shortly after. Don't expect Ingram's role in the offense to change going into Week 3 against the Chiefs.

Mark Ingram, Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown Playing Sunday

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram (shoulder), tight end Mark Andrews (foot) and rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown (hip) are all active in Week 2 against the Cardinals, as expected. All three players had huge weeks in the season opener and could all shine again against a weak Cardinals Defense at home. Ingram has clear RB1 upside in what could be the team's second straight blowout win. Andrews is a firm TE1 after rookie T.J. Hockenson lit up Arizona's D last week. Brown is the most risky flex play at wideout after playing just 14 snaps in his NFL debut. There's big-play potential with the Cardinals without their top two cornerbacks, but Brown will be as boom or bust as they get.

Mark Ingram Owners Need To Have Gus Edwards

Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards played more snaps (38.16%) than starter Mark Ingram (32.89%) in Week 1, but Ingram is the clear starter in the Ravens backfield. Last week, Edwards saw an increase in playing time because Ingram's shoulder was banged up and the Ravens had a large lead over the Miami Dolphins. Edwards was less efficient than Ingram, running for just 3.3 yards per carry compared to Ingram, who popped off an impressive 7.6 yards per carry. Edwards cannot be trusted in your starting lineup at this time, but if you are anIngram owner, you would be wise to roster Edwards as the clear handcuff.
