Mark Ingram II News

Mark Ingram II Doesn't Do Much In Win

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram II finished with 10 carries for 29 yards during the massive win over the Browns on Sunday. As expected, the veteran conceded carries to rookie J.K. Dobbins, who finished with 22 yards off of seven attempts while also finding the end zone twice from inside the red zone. Ingram's stock moving ahead will undoubtedly take a tumble as he may find himself relegated to the benches in many fantasy leagues moving forward, with that potentially beginning come Week 2 against the Houston Texans. For those who find Dobbins floating around the waiver wire, snag him up before it's too late.

Mark Ingram II Still Has Value In Week 1 Despite Logjam

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram II still has fantasy value heading into 2020 despite his projected regression from last year. Although the veteran will likely concede carries to rookie J.K. Dobbins, particularly later on in the season, he should still be considered an asset by fantasy managers. The 30-year-old should get his touches, especially within the five-yard line, and should remain a fantasy starter, primarily in deeper formats as a flex option, against a Cleveland team that struggled to defend the run in 2019. Continue to utilize Ingram's services until he is overthrown for the No. 1 spot on the depth chart, or Dobbins begins to outproduce him consistently.

Mark Ingram II Expresses Concerns About Return

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram II is ready to get back to playing football, but he also wants to make sure it is in a safe environment. In a short interview clip that aired on NFL Total Access on Wednesday, Ingram said, "I'm basically just listening to the updates from the team, from the [players association], from the league and, I want to play ball, but I think it needs to be in a safe, effective and efficient way. I know there's standards and protocols and guidelines and all that to make sure everybody's healthy and safe. And we're doing everything to make sure nobody's at risk. I'm hopeful that we'll be playing." The concern for safety has been shared by several of Ingram's colleagues of late and will be a frequent topic of discussion as training camps are scheduled to begin at the end of July. Ingram faces increased competition for backfield touches with second-round rookie J.K. Dobbins in the fold, rendering the veteran as more of a flex option in fantasy for 2020.
