Mason Crosby News
Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby converted 3-of-4 field goals and nailed his lone extra point attempt during the team's 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions. The veteran kicker ended the season strong, converting 9-of-10 field goals and eight extra points over the final three games. He missed four field goals in 2022, a massive improvement after a rough 2021 season where he missed a total of nine. However, for fantasy purposes, Crosby has been nothing more than a boom-or-bust streamer for the past four years. With star quarterback Aaron Rodgers potentially out of Green Bay in 2023, it is tough to be excited about potentially drafting a kicker heading into his age-39 season. There is always the possibility the 38-year-old retires in the offseason, but if he returns, he will be can safely be left off of draft boards come August in favor of more exciting options.
Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby will face the division-rival Detroit Lions Sunday night. The veteran kicker has been on a tear lately, nailing seven field goals and 10 extra points over the past three weeks. Green Bay has had little trouble getting into scoring range against the defenses of struggling teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Minnesota Vikings, and it has led to a successful run for the 38-year-old kicker. He will remain a low-end top-12 fantasy option this week against Detroit in a must-win game for both squads. Crosby has a low-scoring fantasy floor this season, but due to the recent success the Packers have had, he is a much safer and viable fantasy option during the final week of the regular season.
Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby connected on both of his field goal attempts and converted five extra points during the team's 41-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. After nailing four field goals last week, the veteran kicker was a busy man again Sunday, knocking through field goals from 26 and 56 yards away. The five extra-point conversions were his highest total of the season. Crosby has been a boom-or-bust fantasy option all season, but he came through in a big way for those who took the chance on him this week. He will remain a streaming option next week against the Detroit Lions in what is a must-win game for the Green Bay Packers.
