Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson (knee) is expected to miss a few weeks after getting injured in the Week 2 win over the Ravens on Thursday, according to a source. While Cincy's defensive line takes a hit, Johnson was more of a run stopper than a pass rusher and wasn't on the radar of IDP owners.
The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed defensive end Michael Johnson on Sunday. Johnson was one of the roster casualties over the weekend, but apparently there was a change of heart by Cincinnati brass. He had one year remaining on his deal before he was cut, and he re-signed for one season. It's uncertain if it was a money thing, although beat writer Paul Dehner Jr. says it was not a pay cut situation. With or without Johnson, the Bengals DST is considered a low-end No. 2 fantasy unit. They'll only draw attention as a streaming option once the bye weeks start to hit during the regular season.
