Nick Boyle Not Likely To Have Big Impact

Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle finished the regular season with 31 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns. Even with tight end Mark Andrews sitting out of Week 17 against the Steelers, Boyle only caught 1-of-2 targets for six yards. Boyle is too difficult to trust as a solid play this week with Andrews returning to the starting lineup.

Nick Boyle Could See Uptick In Chances

Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Week 16's win over the Cleveland Browns. If Mark Andrews is held out for Week 17, Boyle could see an uptick in targets, but it's hard to predict who fill-in quarterback Robert Griffin III will be primarily looking for in the passing game. Boyle was held without a catch in Week 5's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be looking for a better performance in the rematch. Boyle is a risky high-ceiling play in a Ravens run-first offense with an inconsistent group of receivers.

Nick Boyle Only Viable If Mark Andrews Is Out

Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle caught two of three targets for 10 yards and a three-yard touchdown in Week 14's win over the Buffalo Bills. Boyle was able to capitalize on his opportunity to score shortly after Mark Andrews exited the game with a knee injury. If Andrews is unable to go, it's hard to tell whether Boyle or Hayden Hurst will see an expanded role at the tight end position. Boyle and Hurst have put up similar numbers up to this point in the season, as they are both close to 300 yards in receiving and have two touchdowns each. Boyle could be a viable streaming option in deeper leagues if Andrews is unable to go, but it's probably best to keep him on the bench Thursday night against a Jets Defense that has allowed only two touchdowns to opposing tight ends in 2019.
