Nick Harris News
Seattle Seahawks center Nick Harris has been traded to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. This is an odd story considering Harris spent the first four years of his career with Cleveland. He was taken in the fifth-round by the team during the 2020 NFL Draft. However, he was let go by the team this offseason and Harris signed a one-year deal with Seattle. It didn't take long for the Browns to decide they wanted him back. They traded a 2026 sixth-round pick in exchange for Harris. He's expected to compete for a backup spot in camp.

Nick Harris Likely Done For The Year
Cleveland Browns starting center Nick Harris (knee) will likely need season-ending surgery on his right knee for an injury that he suffered in Friday's preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Harris was replaced in Friday's game by Ethan Pocic, who signed a one-year, $1.187 million deal in March. Brock Hoffman, an undrafted rookie from Virginia Tech, is the only other center on the team's training camp roster. It remains to be seen if the Browns will look to re-sign JC Tretter, their starter the last five seasons, after they released him in a cost-cutting move in March. Pocic was a second-round pick in 2017 by the Seattle Seahawks, and he started 40 of his 57 games played in Seattle. It's bad news for the Browns offense, especially with quarterback Deshaun Watson's potential season-long suspension looming.

Nick Harris Sustains Season-Ending Knee Injury
Cleveland Browns center Nick Harris (knee) is suspected to have endured a season-ending knee injury during Friday's preseason game against Jacksonville, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Harris, who was carted off the field Friday night, was set to be the team's starting center, with his injury paving the way for Ethan Pocic to take over. A fifth-round selection by Cleveland in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Washington, knee and hamstring injuries had previously saddled Harris in his first two pro seasons. The 23-year-old started one game in both '20 and '21, appearing in 23 contests during that span. How much of the Browns' offense shakes out remains to be seen in the wake of Deshaun Watson's current six-game suspension, but Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt should remain focal points even with the o-line taking a sizable blow.

Nick Harris Carted Off The Field On Friday
Cleveland Browns center Nick Harris (knee) left Friday's exhibition versus Jacksonville. After only the second play, the 23-year-old suffered a right knee injury, requiring a cart ride to the locker room for further evaluation. Harris, a 2020 fifth-round pick, is expected to be the Browns' starting center this season, although his availability moving ahead is now in question. Nevertheless, there should be an update on his status soon. However, if Harris misses time, Ethan Pocic is anticipated to replace him.

Browns Use Pick No. 160 On Nick Harris
The Cleveland Browns drafted some offensive line depth with their fifth-round pick by selecting Washington center Nick Harris 160th overall. Harris won't start right away, but can provide solid depth in the interior of that offensive line. He is an experienced player, being a three-year starter for the Huskies, and should fit nicely in Kevin Stefanski's zone-blocking scheme, which would be a welcome sight for running back Nick Chubb.
