Quinn Nordin Fantasy Stats

New England Patriots rookie kicker Quinn Nordin (abdomen) is expected to be put on Injured Reserve with an abdomen injury, according to a source. The good news is that Nordin will likely be able to return this year, and the team is hoping that he'll be back by November. Nordin missed the season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins and will now have to wait to make his NFL debut until later this season. In his absence in Week 1, veteran Nick Folk made all three of his field-goal attempts and his lone extra point in the 17-16 loss. Expect the Patriots to elevate Folk from their practice squad to the active roster in time for him to kick in Week 2 against the New York Jets. New England should have an easier time putting up points this Sunday, but Folk is a reach as far as being a solid starting option for fantasy managers.

That led to Folk being cut on Tuesday, but he'll likely land elsewhere. Nordin was a 72.4 percent field goal kicker in the Big 10. He never finished above 80 percent during his time in college. Clearly, the Patriots believe in him, but Nordin should be viewed as a streaming option more than a weekly kicker in fantasy formats.
