Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said the team will open the 21-day practice window on Wednesday for center Ryan Kelly (knee) and linebacker Jaylon Carlies (leg) to return from Injured Reserve. While both players will be eligible to return to practice on Wednesday, it doesn't mean that they will be active for the big Week 15 contest in Denver versus the Broncos. Neither player is fantasy relevant, but Kelly is a key player on Indy's offensive line that they would love to have back in a pivotal game this weekend. The 31-year-old veteran is confident that he can return in 2024 after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Kelly went on IR before Week 10, so this weekend is the first game he'll be eligible to return for. His availability for Sunday's contest will likely depend on how he looks in practice from Wednesday through Friday.

Ryan Kelly Injures Calf In Week 6
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (calf) exited during the second half of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans and was subsequently ruled out. The 31-year-old had missed the Colts' last two games with a neck injury before returning for Week 6, so the timing of his new ailment is suboptimal. The Colts will continue to evaluate Kelly in the days leading up to their Week 7 clash against the Miami Dolphins. If Kelly is unable to suit up next week, Tanor Bortolini would likely start at center.

Ryan Kelly Out For Colts In Week 12
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (concussion) did not practice on Friday and has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a downgrade after Kelly returned to a full practice session on Thursday following a limited practice to kick off the week of preparation on Wednesday. The Colts are going to play it safe with the three-time Pro Bowl center after he suffered his second concussion of the year in the Week 10 win over the New England Patriots in Germany. The Colts have their bye last week, but the 30-year-old remains in the league's concussion protocol and will miss this weekend's game. Wesley French is in line to get the start on Sunday. Kelly's absence could have a negative impact on quarterback Gardner Minshew and the Colts offense.

Ryan Kelly On COVID-19 List, Khari Willis Activated
The Indianapolis Colts placed center Ryan Kelly on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday and also activated safety Khari Willis (calf) from Injured Reserve. Losing All-Pro Kelly in Week 13 against the Houston Texans is notable for Indy's offensive line. However, it may not matter all that much for running back Jonathan Taylor, the NFL's leading rusher, as he'll be going up a Houston defense that has allowed the second-most rushing yards per game (135.6). Danny Pinter should be snapping the ball to quarterback Carson Wentz on Sunday. As of training camp, Kelly was unvaccinated, and if he still isn't vaccinated, he'll be quarantined for 10 days. Luckily, the Colts are on their bye in Week 14. Willis has two interceptions and 1.5 sacks in seven games and will return to a secondary that was shredded by Tom Brady in Week 12.

Ryan Kelly Becomes NFL’s Highest-Paid Center
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly inked a four-year contract extension Thursday that will pay him $50 million, thereby making him the leagues highest-paid center. Kelly will be integral to the acclimation of quarterback Philip Rivers to the Colts roster in his first season, while also being an anchor of the offensive line for the stylings of running backsMarlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor. While Kelly won't have any fantasy consideration as a center, his presence up front should help boost a Colts offense that passed for only 194.3 yards per game last season.

Ryan Kelly Placed on Injured Reserve
The Indianapolis Colts have placed center Ryan Kelly (concussion) on Injured Reserve, per Andrew Walker of Colts.com. Kelly missed the teams last three games after suffering a concussion against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12 and is being shut down for the season to ensure he doesn't aggravate the injury, a smart move given the Colts current 3-10 record. Indianapolis heads into the offseason with numerous question marks at key positions, but a healthy Kelly should help anchor the offensive line for the 2018 season.

Ryan Kelly Officially Ruled Out
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (concussion) has officially been ruled out for the team's Week 13 matchup with the Tennessee Titans, per Mike Chappell. All Colts offensive players are likely to suffer to some degree with Kelly out and owners should be especially aware of how Jacksonville's voracious pass rush is going to have a field day.

Ryan Kelly Expected to Miss Week 13
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (concussion) is expected to miss the team's Week 13 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per Charean Williams of NBC Sports. Kelly is a vital piece to the Colts offensive line and will be sorely missed against Jacksonville's voracious pass rush. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett will be unstartable, while significant downgrades should be applied to both running backs Frank Gore and Marlon Mack.

Ryan Kelly in Concussion Protocol; Spells Big Problems for Offensive Line
Indianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after the team's 20-16 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Kelly likely suffered the injury in the first half, as he did not start when the Colts came out of the tunnel in the third quarter. As if fantasy owners needed another reason to start Jacksonville's defense in Week 13, Kelly's potential absence means a lot more pressure for quarterback Jacoby Brissett and fewer running lanes for running back Frank Gore.
