Ryan Mallett With A Touchdown Pass In Relief During Week 8
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett came into the game near the end of the first half after starter Joe Flacco was knocked out from a blow to the head. Mallett threw for a touchdown on that drive to make it 20-0 and after that was not needed to pass much in the second half. The word on Flacco after the game gave no indication if he would miss any extra games which leaves Mallett's value in limbo.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett threw two interceptions Thursday versus Miami. They say it was almost three because another was dropped, but it is also true that one of the two interceptions was off a deflection. He did not look good and brings back old questions such as his accuracy. The good news is that as long as Joe Flacco makes it back for the regular season and stays healthy, the Ravens offensive players don't have to worry about how Mallett plays.
Ryan Mallett Given Opportunity To Reinforce His Position
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett will be given extensive playing time in the first preseason game Thursday versus Washington. Mallett has struggled early in training camp which led to talk of adding Colin Kaepernick for awhile. The talk has died down and Joe Flacco (back) is not ready to return to the playing field yet. This opens up an opportunity for Mallett to go out Thursday and make his case for why he should be the definitive backup and first choice to play if Flacco needs time off at some point this season.
Ryan Mallett With A Terrible Day Friday At Training Camp
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett got first team reps with Joe Flacco (back) on the mend. The reps went rather badly as he threw five interceptions and had others that could have been. Mallett is hoping to be the starter if the worst happens with Flacco but he will have competition. The Ravens signed a former Indoor League quarterback Friday and were said to be looking into Colin Kaepernick. The current signee is an underdog to topple Mallett but if a serious diagnosis leads to Kaepernick, that would be a strong threat to Mallett.
