Torry McTyer Tears ACL In Week 4
Washington Football Team cornerback Torry McTyer (knee) suffered a torn ACL in the Week 4 win over the Atlanta Falcons and will miss the rest of the 2021 season, according to a source. McTyer served as a backup nickel cornerback early in the season, but he saw extended playing time against Atlanta on Sunday with Benjamin St. Juste (concussion) out. With McTyer now out for the rest of the year, Washington may need Darryl Roberts and Troy Apke to step up in the secondary. The 26-year-old was mostly a special teams player, but he saw a season-high 38 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 4. McTyer had just one solo tackle and two passes defensed in four games this year.
