Roger Lewis, Travis Rudolph Questionable Against Eagles
New York Giants wide receivers Roger Lewis (ankle) and Travis Rudolph (hamstring) were both limited in practice Friday and are questionable for Week 15 against the Eagles. While both Lewis and Rudolph should play barring setbacks, neither is particularly attractive for starting lineups outside of the deepest of leagues. With a trip to the fantasy championship on the line, it's extremely hard to trust any member of New York's offense.
The New York Giants are promoting wide receiver Travis Rudolph from the practice squad to the active roster Monday, according to a source. It's a no-brainer move after the Giants lost star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) for the season, as well as Dwayne Harris (foot) in Week 5. Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Sterling Shepard (ankle) could miss multiple weeks as well. Rudolph will help on special teams and should compete for targets with Tavarres King behind receiver Roger Lewis in the short term. Both Lewis and King aren't attractive off the waiver wire, especially with the Giants facing the Broncos and Seahawks before they head on their bye.
New York Giants wide receiver Travis Rudolph capitalized tremendously on an increase of offensive snaps, accumulating 81 yards on three catches. The 21-year-old Florida State product seized a pass thrown from quarterback Josh Johnson over the head of New York Jets cornerback Darryl Roberts and scampered for a 57-yard gain. "That's just an effort play. I feel like when the ball is in the air, it's mine, so I have to go get it," Rudolph said following the 32-31 victory. With Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall sidelined, Rudolph saw 33 offensive snaps and took full advantage of the opportunity. The undrafted free agent is currently making a case for himself, producing 111 yards receiving on a team-best six receptions. Despite the recent success, look for Rudolph to come back to earth when Beckham and Marshall return to the lineup.
