Tre'Quan Smith News

Tre'Quan Smith, Josh Hill Will Have Roles

New Orleans Saints tight end Josh Hill will play more than expected in 2020, in the opinion of NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal. Hill played a similar percentage of snaps as Jared Cook last season, even when Cook was healthy. However, unless Cook suffers an injury and misses time, Hill will likely remain on most league's waiver wire. Wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith is the most obvious candidate for snaps as the No. 3 behind Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders after he quietly scored 10 touchdowns the last two years. But much like Hill, Smith's fantasy value will remain low as long as Thomas and Sanders remain healthy.

Tre'Quan Smith Held Without A Catch In Wild Card Loss

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith failed to haul in a catch in a 26-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Smith battled ankle injuries this year and struggled to make an impact until the end of the year. He finished the year with four touchdowns in his last six games, earning some more trust from Brees in the process. The 23-year-old has flashed potential at times and will be in the sleeper conversation in 2020, which will be his third season in the league.

Tre'Quan Smith A Risky Bet In Wild-Card Round

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith is coming off his best game of the season, catching five passes for 56 yards and a score. However, that was in a 42-10 blowout win over Carolina. Smith has scored four times since Week 12, but aside from last week, he hasn't caught more than three passes in any game this season. It's hard to predict touchdowns, especially in the playoffs, but with a wild-card matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, Smith is nothing more than a GPP dart throw.
