Tre'Quan Smith News
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith grabbed three receptions for 85 yards and two scores on three targets in Sunday's divisional-round loss to Tampa. Smith paced the team in yards and had a fantastic showing in the team's last game of the season. The WR finished 2020 with 34 receptions for 448 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. Because of his inconsistency and smaller role on this offense, Smith should be considered a deeper-league flex at best heading into 2021.
The New Orleans Saints activated wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (ankle) from Injured Reserve and placed him on the active roster in time for the Divisional Round game against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Smith has not played since the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs, but he should be active for the third meeting with Tampa Bay this weekend. However, there's a good chance that the Saints limit his snaps in his first game back, but his presence won't be good news for Deonte Harris, who had an expanded role in the wild-card win over the Bears. The 25-year-old Smith should be avoided in most fantasy lineups this weekend after catching just 34 passes on 50 targets for 448 yards and four touchdowns in his 14 games (10 starts). He should be the No. 3 wideout behind Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (ankle) was designated for a return on Wednesday, but he remains on Injured Reserve. Smith last played in the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs, but he could be taken off IR and be eligible to play in the Divisional Round against the Buccaneers on Sunday night. That could be bad news for Deonte Harris, who saw an elevated role behind Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in the wild-card win over the Bears. But even if Smith is active this weekend, he's nothing more than a low-cost deep sleeper in DFS after catching 34 passes on 50 targets for 448 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games (10 starts) this season.
