T.Y. Hilton Remains The Top Receiver In Indy

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton finds himself in a more crowded receiver group after the addition of second-round wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., but Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni says that Hilton is still the "lead dog" on the team. If new quarterback Philip Rivers still has the arm strength that's helped him succeed with the Chargers, Hilton could be a big winner of this offseason, with Sirianni saying that Hilton's "flat-out speed" can help the team out in the vertical passing game, something we'll see more of with Rivers in town. Hilton's being ranked as a fringe WR2 right now, but he has the upside to finish as a high-end WR2 if things work out with Rivers.

T.Y. Hilton Wants To Be A Colt For Life

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who is entering a contract year in 2020, said, "I wanna be a Colt for life, but it takes two sides to get it done." Hilton is scheduled to make $14.5 million this season. The two sides started talking about an extension before the coronavirus lockdown began, and Hilton hopes they can rekindle those talks soon. The 30-year-old played in just 10 games due to injury in 2019, catching a disappointing 45 passes for 501 yards and five touchdowns. But with quarterback Philip Rivers under center for at least this season, Hilton has a great chance to bounce back as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 with better health.

T.Y. Hilton Played Through Significant Calf Tear

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (calf) said he played through a two-centimeter calf tear late in the season. Hilton started the year on fire with five touchdowns in the first five weeks, but his calf injury basically crippled the rest of his season and let his fantasy owners down. Even with quarterback Jacoby Brissett under center in this run-first offense, Hilton has proven that he can be a solid WR2 for fantasy owners as the team's top passing option. However, you'll be able to get Hilton at more of a WR3 price next year in fantasy drafts thanks to his depressed end-of-season statistics. There's always the risk of injury with Hilton, but when he's healthy, he's usually solid for fantasy owners.
