Los Angeles Chargers punter Ty Long certainly had a strange day. He filled in as the team's kicker once again since Michael Badgley remains sidelined with a groin injury, and that was expected. He then went perfect on field goals (3/3) and extra points (3/3), which is a pleasant surprise. He even made a 51-yarder. What really made the day strangest was the fact that he never punted. The Chargers were so efficient on offense that they never once punted in the game. They only compiled eight drives on offense, one of which was the victory formation at the end, and they scored one six of those while turning it over on downs once. Therefore, without a doubt, Ty Long was the kicker for the Chargers, not the punter. And he did an outstanding job.
