According to Titans insider Paul Kuharsky, the team views him as "primarily a slot who can still threaten downfield and be used on some outside routes." Before this signing, Van Jefferson or Treylon Burks was slated to be Tennessee's No. 2 receiver behind Calvin Ridley following the departure of Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Lockett brings another veteran presence to the wide receiver room, and he'll presumably catch passes from rookie quarterback Cam Ward in 2025. While Lockett's arrival slightly improves Tennessee's pass-catching group, they are likely to continue to address the position on Day 2 or Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

While Lockett would likely like to have a good game in what could be his final game in a Seahawks uniform, the fact is that he has been completely phased out of Seattle's offense with the emergence of wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Week 17 against the Chicago Bears was Lockett's best game in weeks. He caught three passes for 20 yards last Thursday. It was encouraging to see Lockett earn more than three targets for the first time since Week 9. However, his four targets were not exactly groundbreaking. Unless Lockett finds the end zone, he will be a useless fantasy asset this week. Leave him on waivers once again in Week 18.

The Seahawks have consolidated their targets among the running backs and their top two wide receivers. Lockett is a great veteran presence for this team, but he is not integral to the game plan at all. Despite the Bears being a solid matchup for opposing wide receivers in recent weeks, Lockett should remain on waivers.

The Vikings are the worst defense at stopping opposing wide receivers in fantasy. However, that is unlikely to benefit Lockett given how little volume he is receiving. With the Seahawks scaling back their passing attempts over the second half of the season, there simply is not enough to go around for Lockett to be fantasy-relevant. Look elsewhere if you are still alive in the fantasy playoffs.

In his defense, fellow wide receiver DK Metcalf did not fare much better in Week 15. The Seahawks' offense as a whole was disjointed. Only running back Zach Charbonnet and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba found any success against a relentless Packers defense. Hopefully, Lockett is on waivers in your fantasy league. He simply cannot even deliver flex value at this point. It is disappointing considering how many years of high-end fantasy relevance Lockett enjoyed before the last season or two.
