Tyler Lockett News
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said that wide receiver Tyler Lockett will be moved around a lot this year. With Doug Baldwin retired, the 26-year-old will be Seattle's unquestioned No. 1 wideout in 2019. That'll give him the chance to top his career highs across the board last year in receptions (57), yards (965) and touchdowns (10). Lockett also posted a career-high 16.9 yards per catch as an explosive home run threat every time he touches the football. Expect Lockett to be in high demand as his stock continues to rise.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett only caught two passes and rushed once, but it was a stressful day for the wideout/return specialist. First, both of his catches were phenomenal ones that got critical first downs for his team. That was the good news. Lockett then made everyone sweat when he decided to try to run the overtime kickoff out of the end zone. In rainy, muddy weather, Lockett made the choice to try to make a big play happen from three yards deep in the end zone. Instead, the slick ball rocketed off his pads and out to the 10-yard line. Lockett was fortunately able to scoop up the muffed kick before any 49ers arrived, but as soon as he snagged the ball, he got drilled by the coverage team. It wasnt a terribly productive day for Lockett, but it was certainly an interesting one.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett led the way against the Vikings, but it wasnt spectacular. Lockett caught five of six passes thrown his way, but his longest was for just 14 yards. Lockett was well covered by the suffocating Minnesota defense, so he was held scoreless for the first time in three weeks. With Doug Baldwin continuing to struggle with his health, Lockett remains the teams clear No. 1 receiver. The good news is that the Vikings defense is a special one, and so Lockett should return to his usual usefulness nest week against San Francisco.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was at it again on Sunday when he caught just one pass in the game but took that one to the house. Lockett was one of the games early trendsetters by hauling in a 52-yard touchdown on the teams first drive in the second quarter. The score brings Locketts season total up to nine touchdowns, and though he was only targeted twice, owners shouldnt fret since Seattle barely threw the ball in this game. Lockett should still be viewed as Seattles most dependable receiver, though the variety of options will always limit his production to some extent. Hell challenge the 1,000-yard plateau this season, and this will easily be the best year of his career so far.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been the team's most productive wide receiver all season, and that will likely continue on Sunday against the rival 49ers. Lockett was huge last week against the Panthers, and with a soft San Francisco secondary in his future, expect Lockett to hit pay dirt once again. Lockett has been Seattle's biggest TD threat on the outside as he's racked up eight touchdowns this season, and he's already nearly crossed the 1,000-yard plateau. With Doug Baldwin hampered by injuries all year, Lockett has done a fantastic job of stepping up to be the team's No. 1 receiver. He should be considered a solid play in all formats this week.
