Tyler Lockett Reaches End Zone in Week 17

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett tallied two receptions and nine yards off his three targets during Sunday's 34-10 loss to the New York Giants in Week 17. The veteran wide receiver's fantasy day was saved by his reception in the back of the end zone on a quarterback Geno Smith (ankle) scramble late in the third quarter. Lockett was competing for targets with the fourth-round rookie wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr., but the Raiders' offense struggled to sustain drives or keep a clean pocket against the Giants' defense. If rookie wide receiver Jack Bech (back), who was a late addition to the Week 17 injury report and was ruled out before kickoff on Sunday, Lockett should resume his part-time WR3 role in Week 18 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs' defense is a bottom-10 matchup for opposing wide receivers, keeping Lockett in deep-league WR4/Flex territory heading into the final game of the 2025 season.

Tyler Lockett Off Injury Report, Could See Additional Looks in Week 17

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett (wrist) was a full participant in every practice this week and does not carry an injury designation heading into his Week 17 matchup against the New York Giants. After seeing a season-high 76% snap share in Week 15, the veteran pass catcher only played 26% of snaps and ran just 31% of the Raiders' routes in Week 16 against the Houston Texans. This is the first time Lockett saw less than 30% of the team's snaps since Week 7 and the third time all season. With tight end Brock Bowers (knee) going on IR before Week 17, quarterback Geno Smith almost certainly will have to redistribute these targets, benefitting his other pass catchers. Wide receiver Tre Tucker is the most likely beneficiary of this redistribution, but with rookie receiver Jack Bech (back) at risk of missing Week 17 due to a late-week injury, Lockett could easily slide into the WR2 role. Lockett gets a slight bump due to the very favorable matchup against the Giants' paltry pass defense in Week 17 and injuries to his fellow pass catchers, but remains a low-end WR4/Flex in deep leagues.

Tyler Lockett Upgrades to Full Participant on Thursday

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. The receiver saw his status get upgraded after practicing in a limited capacity on Wednesday. Barring a setback, Lockett should suit up during Sunday's Week 16 contest against the Houston Texans without any limitations. The veteran receiver handled a season-high 76% snap share last week, catching two of his four targets for 10 yards in the Raiders' Kenny Pickett-led offense. Geno Smith should return to the starting quarterback role in Week 16, offering a minor bump to Lockett's fantasy value. Still, he's a risky fantasy option as the Raiders' offense continues to struggle week in and week out. At best, he's a low-end WR3/flex in deep leagues.

Tyler Lockett Limited as Prep for Week 16 Begins

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett (knee) was limited during Wednesday's practice ahead of Week 16 against the Houston Texans. Although managers are concerned to see Lockett on the injury report, they should feel encouraged that he was able to get on the field in some capacity on Wednesday. He has a decent chance to log a full session later this week, but even if he remains limited the whole time, he'll have a solid opportunity to suit up against the Texans. Lockett handled a season-high 76% snap share last week, catching two of his four targets for 10 yards in the Raiders' Kenny Pickett-led offense. Geno Smith should return to the starting quarterback role in Week 16, offering a minor bump to Lockett's fantasy value. Still, he ranks as a low-end WR3/flex only in very deep fantasy leagues.

Tyler Lockett Leaves Early Due to Wrist Injury

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett (wrist) reeled in two of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 31-0 road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Lockett picked up a wrist injury late in the first half that had the team deem him questionable coming out of halftime. He'd re-enter the game in the third quarter, though he did not receive another opportunity in the passing game. It was a rough day for the offense as a whole, considering Las Vegas ran just 42 offensive plays and was shut out for the second time this season. Even if Lockett makes it through the upcoming week of practice without a setback, he may be falling out of favor in the offense. Rookie wideout Jack Bech has accrued a higher snap share than the veteran in the previous three games, out-producing him in each.

Tyler Lockett Faces Competition Amidst Quarterback Change

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett remains a somewhat risky fantasy option heading into Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lockett had 12 catches and 139 yards from Week 10 through Week 12, but his productivity has dwindled over the last couple of weeks. He has just four catches and 55 yards over his last two games. Now, heading into Week 15, Lockett faces signification competition for targets from Dont'e Thornton Jr., Tre Tucker, and Jack Bech not to mention superstar tight end Brock Bowers. The 33-year-old receiver has played through inconsistent volume and will now head into a tricky matchup against the Eagles, who have allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points and second-fewest touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in 2025. He will also deal with a quarterback downgrade this week as Kenny Pickett takes over for Geno Smith (back, shoulder). Although Lockett is a talented veteran receiver, his difficult matchup and unfortunate quarterback change have left him ranked as the overall WR87 in this week's RotoBaller fantasy rankings. He can be left on waivers in most leagues.

Tyler Lockett Offers Low-End Flex Value

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett is looking to bounce back after giving fantasy managers a dud last week. Lockett struggled to make an impact, hauling in his lone target for 11 yards in the loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Before that, Lockett was actually playing well with three catches or more in each of his three previous contests. Lockett has also finished with 40 receiving yards or more in two of his four games in Las Vegas. The familiarity with quarterback Geno Smith has probably helped Lockett get more comfortable in this offense. The biggest problem is that the Raiders' offense hasn't been able to successfully move the ball through the air this season. There is hope that Lockett can have a bounce-back game in Week 14. He hauled in five receptions for 44 yards during the last meeting against the Denver Broncos. Fantasy managers should put Lockett in the low-end flex category for this weekend.

Another Dud Coming for Tyler Lockett in Week 14?

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett quickly established himself in the Raiders' offense after the team traded away Jakobi Meyers at the deadline, with his familiarity and chemistry with quarterback Geno Smith from their days in Seattle playing a big part in that. Lockett had only 10 catches on 21 targets for 70 yards in seven games with the Titans to begin the year, but in five games with Vegas, he has 13 catches on 16 targets for 150 yards. Most of that damage came in Weeks 10-12 (12 catches, 139 yards). He regressed in the Week 13 loss to the Chargers, catching one of three targets for 11 yards. It's no secret that Smith likes to look for Lockett, but the Raiders' offensive line is giving Smith very little time to throw the football, and the Raiders are averaging only 184.1 passing yards per game (seventh-fewest in the NFL). Lockett will have a low ceiling again as a WR5/flex in deeper fantasy leagues against Denver's stingy defense in Week 14. However, Lockett did have a season-high five catches for 44 yards in the first meeting with the Broncos on Nov. 6.

Tyler Lockett Profiles as Deep-League Option in Week 13

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett is coming off his best performance of the season in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, recording four catches for 62 yards on five targets. The veteran has been a reliable pass-catching option over the past three games, leading the Raiders' wide receivers with 12 catches (14 targets) for 139 yards, averaging 8.6 PPR points per game. It will be interesting to see how the Las Vegas offense looks in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers after the dismissal of offensive coordinator Chip Kelly earlier this week. It's a tough matchup on Sunday for Lockett, with the Chargers allowing the second-fewest PPR points per game to opposing wideouts.

Tyler Lockett a Deep-League Option in Week 12

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett has carved out a meaningful role in the offense after signing with the team on October 27. Lockett began the season with the Tennessee Titans and didn't make an impact with just 10 catches (21 targets) for 70 yards in seven games. The 33-year-old has shown he still has something left in the tank in Las Vegas, totaling more receiving yards (77) in three games with the team. The fantasy upside is still very limited as the third option behind Brock Bowers and Tre Tucker for a Raiders passing attack led by Geno Smith, who has struggled mightily this season. Lockett has some appeal in Week 12 against the Browns in deeper formats, but is best left on the waiver wire in 12-team leagues.
