Indianapolis Colts defensive end Tyquan Lewis (knee) suffered a season-ending knee injury, a torn patellar tendon, in the Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders. The Colts quickly placed Lewis on season-ending Injured Reserve on Monday. It's a blow to the Colts defense, as the 27-year-old pass-rusher had been a regular on the team's defensive line in 2022. The Colts have also been without second-year pass-rusher Kwity Paye (ankle) of late, so they'll be hoping that Ifeadi Odenigbo can step up the rest of the way. Lewis will finish his fifth NFL season with 14 tackles (eight solo), one sack, four QB hits and a forced fumble in seven games in 2022.
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Tyquan Lewis (knee) suffered a significant knee injury in Week 8 last year, and the timing of the injury could lead him to start the regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Lewis needed surgery to fix his injury, and there's a chance we won't see him at all during training camp this summer. When healthy, the 27-year-old can still be a solid contributor for the Colts pass rush in part of a defensive line rotation. The former second-rounder in 2018 out of Ohio State has 8.5 sacks, 56 tackles (41 solo), 15 tackles for loss, 21 QB hits, one interception and five passes defensed in 41 games (12 starts) in his four seasons with Indianapolis.
