Vic Beasley Joins Roster, Takk McKinley Off Injured Reserve

The Las Vegas Raiders have officially signed Vic Beasley from the practice squad for Thursday's game against the Chargers after seeing him play in 39 percent of the team's defensive snaps Sunday against Indianapolis. Additionally, Takk McKinley (groin) has been designated to return from injured reserve, meaning that he could be on the field as soon as Thursday, although he may need more time to ramp up before playing in his first game with the organization. Both players have proven to be ferocious pass rushers during their time with the Falcons, an infusion of energy that a stumbling Raiders defense could use. Irrespective of how many snaps that either man gets, Las Vegas isn't a trusty defensive option on a short week with a new defensive coordinator against a talented Chargers offense and can be avoided during season-long league playoffs.

Raiders Defense Signs Vic Beasley

The Las Vegas Raiders signed former Falcons and Titans outside linebacker Vic Beasley to their practice squad on Monday. Beasley didn't work out for the Titans this year and was released three weeks ago after recording only three combined tackles and one forced fumble in five games in 2020. Beasley was the eighth overall pick by the Falcons in the 2015 draft out of Clemson, and he excelled as an inside linebacker with Atlanta in 2016. Beasley recorded a league-high six forced fumbles (one for a touchdown) and 15.5 sacks that year on his way to being named a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro. Since then, though, the 28-year-old has 18 sacks in four seasons. He'll provide intriguing pass-rushing depth for Las Vegas.

Titans Release Vic Beasley

The Tennessee Titans plan to release linebacker Vic Beasley on Wednesday after the free-agent signee underperformed and ruffled feathers in Nashville. Beasley signed a $9.5 million deal with the team, showed up 10 days late for training camp, and proceeded to register zero pressures or sacks in three contests as an edge rusher. Tennessee is intent on making changes to a defense that ranks 25th against the pass, as they also released starting corner Johnathan Joseph. As for Beasley, he has yet to produce anything like his All-Pro 2016 season, though injuries have certainly played a role. It's hard to envision anyone picking him up, though crazier things have happened.

Titans Defense Won't Have Vic Beasley

The Tennessee Titans Defense won't have linebacker Vic Beasley (knee) in Week 2 against the Jacksonville. Beasley had been practicing, so it's likely this is just a precaution in what should be a relatively easy matchup for the Titans. Against a better team, Beasley's absence could be an issue for the Titans, but this shouldn't be a game changer in this contest. Consider the Titans defense one of the top defensive options in fantasy this week.

Vic Beasley Returns To Practice

Tennessee Titans linebacker Vic Beasley returned to practice on Wednesday after he was activated to the 53-man roster on Saturday from the Non-Football Injury list. Beasley missed 10 unexcused days of training camp and also failed his initial physical with the team. The Titans Defense was already on the radar as a potential fantasy streamer, and the recent addition of Pro Bowl defensive end Jadeveon Clowney makes them a bit more attractive. Clowney will be moved around the defense to help create mismatches, which could make Beasley more productive after he recorded eight sacks in his final season with Atlanta.

Vic Beasley Gets One-Year Deal From Titans

The Tennessee Titans agreed to a one-year, $12 million deal with linebacker Vic Beasley on Tuesday, according to a source. Beasley will receive $9.5 million guaranteed. The former Atlanta Falcons pass-rusher led the NFL in sacks in 2016 with 15.5, but has fallen off considerably since then and recorded eight sacks in 15 starts for the Falcons in 2019. He also added 42 tackles (28 solo), eight tackles for loss, 12 QB hits and two forced fumbles. The 27-year-old could benefit from a change of scenery in Tennessee's solid defense, but he's likely to be more of a rotational player from here on out.

Falcons Won't Retain Vic Beasley

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they will not try to re-sign impending free-agent outside linebacker Vic Beasley. He was the eighth overall pick in the 2015 draft and led the league in sacks with 15.5 in 2016. However, he fell off drastically after that with just five sacks in both 2017 and 2018. Beasley finished with eight sacks in 2019. He finishes his Atlanta tenure with 156 tackles, 37.5 sacks, 36 tackles for loss, 11 forced fumbles and two touchdowns in 60 games. The Falcons had only 28 sacks in 2019, which were the second-fewest in the NFL, so they'll be looking to beef up their pass rush in the draft or free agency. Beasley could be productive with another team in the right scheme, but his sophomore season might've been the best we'll ever see from him.

Falcons Put Vic Beasley On Trade Block

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley has been put on the trade block with the deadline approaching, according to a league source. The former first-round pick is making $12.8 million this year and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after this season. The 27-year-old had a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2016 but had a combined 10 sacks the following two seasons as the Falcons moved him around. He has 12 total tackles and 1.5 sacks through six games in 2019. He's off the IDP radar for now, but he could become more attractive if he lands in the right spot.

Vic Beasley Will Attend Mandatory Minicamp

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley said he will "definitely be there" when the team's mandatory minicamp gets underway in a couple of weeks. The Falcons were disappointed that Beasley didn't attend voluntary organized team workouts, but he has been training on his own in his hometown in Georgia. He's entering the final year of his deal and is set to make $12.81 million after the Falcons picked up his fifth-year option. Beasley led the NFL with 15.5 sacks in 2016 but has just 10 sacks in the last two seasons, so his arrow is pointing down in IDP leagues. He has a lot of incentive to return to a high level in 2019, though.

Vic Beasley Absent At OTAs

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Vic Beasley has been absent for organized team activities this week. Beasley is heading into the final year of his deal with Atlanta and has underwhelmed the last two years by recording just 49 total tackles and 10 sacks in 30 games after having a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2016. The former eighth overall pick in 2018 struggled to do much as an outside linebacker in 2018, so his 2016 campaign is looking like the outlier right now. Beasley's arrow is very much pointing downward.
