The Baltimore Ravens signed free-agent veteran linebacker Vince Biegel to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday. The 28-year-old has played both outside and inside linebacker in his five NFL seasons and will give the Ravens some versatility and depth at the position after Chris Board left in free agency. Biegel will compete with Malik Harrison, who has also been working at other spots in the offseason. Biegel was originally a fourth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2017 out of Wisconsin. He is on his fourth different team after playing in just five games and recording two tackles for the Miami Dolphins in 2021. Biegel has 81 tackles (42 solo), nine tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, 2.5 sacks and one interception in 43 career games (10 starts).
Miami Dolphins linebacker Vince Biegel (Achilles') tore his Achilles' tendon during practice and will miss the entire 2020 season. Biegel had previously played for the Packers and Saints but had his most success last season for the Dolphins, logging 10 starts on defense and providing 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hits and seven tackles for loss. The Dolphins upgraded multiple key defensive positions this year in free agency, but the injury to Biegel could test their depth in the middle early on.
