Adam Erne to Miss "a Few Weeks"

Dallas Stars left wing Adam Erne (lower body) is facing a multi-week absence. "He's going to be out for a little bit, here," Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan said Wednesday. "I would say we are talking weeks, a few weeks with a lower-body injury." So far, Erne has been a regular in the Stars lineup, though in a limited capacity. He has averaged 9:37 of ice time, recording two goals and one assist in 14 appearances. With 44 hits, Erne ranks second on his team. The Stars attack has already been without Matt Duchene (upper) and Jamie Benn (upper body) for an extended period, which has increased the fantasy value of Sam Steel and Tyler Seguin.

Adam Erne Replaces Pius Suter On Thursday

Detroit Red Wings winger Adam Erne will jump back into the lineup Thursday versus Toronto, replacing Pius Suter. The 27-year-old grinder is returning after being a health scratch for Tuesday's contest against Winnipeg. Erne is stuck on a seven-game scoring drought, but he saw some success earlier in the campaign and has posted five goals and eight assists in 37 appearances. He has also recorded a team-high 108 hits with 35 shots and 35 blocks. Suter, who has been centering the fourth line, will miss his second game of the season.

Adam Erne Extends Point Streak to Seven Games

Detroit Red Wings forward Adam Erne kicked off the scoring against Carolina on Monday night, picking up his 11th goal of the season. Erne now has points in each of his last seven games, racking up five goals and a pair of assists. His hot start to April has ballooned his offensive production on the season, putting him on career-best rates for points per game (0.47) and shooting percentage (19.3 percent). The coaching staff has rewarded Erne with back-to-back games of more than 16 minutes of ice time after only seeing that much ice time only once this season. Erne could be worth a flier as a budget play in daily formats while he rides this hot streak with Detroit's lineup in flux after the trade deadline.

Adam Erne Stays Hot With 10th Goal

Detroit Red Wings winger Adam Erne scored his 10th goal of the season in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over Carolina, wrapping things up with the decisive goal in the shootout. The 25-year-old is off to a hot start to the month having picked up a point in all six games while scoring in four of them. He has 16 points in 35 games this season with 52 shots and 63 hits. Erne has scored three of his goals in six meetings with the Hurricanes, and he will look to build on the success with another outing against Carolina on Monday.

Adam Erne Scores In Second Consecutive Game

Detroit Red Wings winger Adam Erne bagged a goal in a second consecutive outing in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay. He was assisted by Darren Helm and Frans Nielsen at the start of the third period. Erne had four shots against his former team and led Detroit in power-play time with 3:17. The 25-year-old is a fourth-liner for the Red Wings, but he sits on the first power-play unit, which puts him in a good spot to perform. Now, If only Detroit could score more than 11.6 percent of the power-play chances. Erne lacks value in season-long fantasy leagues, but he's carrying a bit of form right now and could interest a few DFS managers on Sunday when the Red Wings have another meeting with Tampa. Erne has scored in two of his last three appearances against the team that drafted him.
