New York Islanders right wing Cal Clutterbuck (upper body) will be back in the lineup for Friday's tilt against New Jersey. The veteran has recovered from an upper-body injury and will end a three-game absence. Clutterbuck will rejoin his regular running mates Casey Cizikas and Matt Martin on the fourth line. Through 22 games this season, Clutterbuck has registered only two goals and one assist, but he's again been a busy man dishing out hits, recording 85 of them. The 35-year-old recently became the NHL's all-time leader in hits and has 3,647 of them on his account prior to Friday's action.
New York Islanders right wing Cal Clutterbuck was an unexpected hero against Boston on Thursday, scoring twice in a 3-1 win. The fourth-liner opened the scoring and iced the game with an empty-netter. He had three shots in total and also delivered three hits in 16:35 of ice time. Clutterbuck now has five goals with no assists for the season in 25 games. He does, however, boast 101 hits for the campaign, and Clutterbuck is one of only four skates with 100-plus hits.
