Chris Driedger Shuts Out The Sharks

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger make the San Jose Sharks look toothless on Friday, pushing away 24 shots to register his fourth career shutout in a 3-0 win. Yanni Gourde, Adam Larsson and Victor Rask delivered the goals. The Kraken's first year in the league hasn't gone well and the same applies to Driedger, who has managed a 9-13-1 record with a 2.92 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. Philipp Grubauer also struggled, and there's clearly some thinking to do for the team in the goalie department. Seattle will finish its inaugural season against Winnipeg on Sunday.

Chris Driedger Starts Rematch Versus L.A.

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger will be between the pipes for Monday's rematch against Los Angeles. The two teams also met a couple of nights ago and Philipp Grubauer was unable to save the Kraken from a 4-2 defeat. Now it's Driedger's turn to have a crack at the Kings. It's going to be his second appearance of the season against Los Angeles after Driedger saved 19 of 21 shots in a 3-1 loss on Jan. 25. The former Panther has won just five of his 15 starts this term and owns a 3.37 goals-against average with a .886 save percentage. It's going to be very tough for Driedger to improve his record, although it must be noted that the Kings have been inconsistent lately and haven't won back-to-back games for three weeks.

Chris Driedger Between The Pipes Wednesday

Seattle Kraken netminder Chris Driedger will start Wednesday against Nashville. Like his team, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native has struggled this season with a 4-8-0 record, a 3.30 goals-against-average, and a .893 save percentage. He has been backing up Philipp Grubauer in the Kraken's inaugural season. Driedger is yet to play against Nashville, who have dropped five of their last seven games. The two teams have split the season series at 1-1-0. Driedger could be in for a tough outing as he faces off against the always competitive Juuse Saros in Seattle.

Chris Driedger Gets Start Against Calgary Thursday

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger will start against the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. Driedger will go up against Jacob Markstrom. Calgary has lost four straight games but is 11-4-2 on the road this season. The Seattle goalie had won three consecutive contests before giving up four goals on 40 shots against the Edmonton Oilers on December 18th. Driedger is 3-3 on the season with a 3.23 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage. The goaltender expects to see a lot of work on Thursday night.

Chris Driedger Has Long Night In Goal Saturday

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger tried to stop all the scoring chances from the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. In the end, he gave up four goals on 40 shots during the 5-3 home loss. Driedger had won his three previous decisions giving up only six goals on 104 shots faced. However, the Edmonton power play and particularly overall depth wore down the Seattle defense and ultimately Driedger. The Oilers scored five of the final seven goals including an empty-net goal. Edmonton had 11 high-danger chances after taking the first 15 minutes of the game off. Driedger could get one more start before the Christmas break after this type of performance.

Chris Driedger Shuts Down San Jose Tuesday

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger was locked in a goaltender duel with James Reimer on Tuesday night for 40 minutes. Finally, in the third period, things broke out as the teams combined for four goals. In the end, Driedger stood tall making 33 stops in the 3-1 Seattle road win. The Kraken were short-handed with several players still on COVID protocol including top center Yanni Gourde. That mattered little as Driedger made several point-blank saves on Logan Couture and Timo Meier. Couture's goal late in the third period kept Driedger from notching a road shutout. The goalie is now 3-2 on the season with three straight wins.

Chris Driedger Earns Himself Another Start

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger has earned himself a second consecutive start for Monday's matchup against Buffalo. The 27-year-old ruined Florida's perfect home record at the weekend with a 33-save effort, and he can now start building a winning streak. Driedger sits on a 1-2-0 record ahead of the meeting with the slumping Sabres. He's allowed 3.47 goals per game with a .870 save percentage. The Kraken have hit some form with three wins in four games, and they will be very disappointed if they can't take down a team that boasts just three wins this month.

Chris Driedger Collects His First Win Of The Season

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger finally found his way into the win column on Saturday, beating the Panthers 4-1 with 33 saves. Florida was looking to become the first team in NHL history to start a season 12-0-0 at home, but Driedger had a great revenge game against his former team. The 27-year-old owned a .791 save percentage for the season prior to Saturday, so Driedger's time in Seattle has been truly a nightmare. But he'll definitely get confidence from here, and with the team playing a lot better lately, both Driedger and Philipp Grubauer should have a much better time heading into the holidays.

Chris Driedger Yanked In Loss

Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger had another forgettable night in net as he allowed four goals in just over 25 minutes Friday. The Seattle penalty kill left the goaltender out to dry far too often as Colorado scored three times via their special teams on the way to a 4-0 lead early. After the fourth, that was it for Driedger, who was replaced by Philipp Grubauer. It was Driedger's second start and his second really bad start with a save percentage below .850 once again.

Chris Driedger Tends The Net In Seattle Friday

The Seattle Kraken backup goaltender Chris Driedger gets the nod on Friday at home versus the Colorado Avalanche. Driedger did have one start this season and that was a loss Overall, in two appearance, the Kraken backup has allowed five goals in just 30 shots faced. The expectation when he was plucked away from Florida was that Dredger would play a few more games in Seattle. Maybe that time is starting now but this is. now Dredger's third appearance in 2021-22. His second start could go a bit better than the first one.

Chris Driedger Will Mind The Crease In Seattle

Florida Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will be in a new uniform after he was drafted by Seattle in the expansion draft on Wednesday. Driedger had his best NHL season in 2021, registering 14 wins and six losses in 23 outings. The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native also recorded a 2.07 goals-against average with a .927 save percentage. He split time with veteran Sergei Bobrovsky between the pipes this season in Florida. Playing for the Panthers this past year, Driedger proved he can be a No. 1 netminder in the league, and he should be a goalie to consider in fantasy hockey next season.

Chris Driedger Returns To Action Versus Tampa

Florida Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will make his first appearance since April 26 on Monday, when the team completes the regular-season schedule with a home game against Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old has recovered from a lower-body injury to make his 23rd start of the season. Driedger has done great for Florida with a 13-6-3 record. He's notched two shutouts with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. However, Monday's matchup is far from ideal for him. The Panthers beat their neighbors at the weekend 5-1, but Tampa has 12 wins in the past 17 meetings between the two.

Chris Driedger Makes Second Consecutive Start

Florida Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will make a second consecutive start on Thursday against the Lightning. The 26-year-old delivered a 3-2 overtime victory against Dallas on Tuesday, improving to 12-5-2 for the year. He boasts a 2.04 goals-against average for the season with a .930 save percentage and two shutouts. This marks the first time since March 27 the Panthers are going with the same goalie in two consecutive games. Sergei Bobrovsky has lost his last two starts, which dropped his record to 15-7-2. Both Florida goalies should see plenty of action until the end of the season.

Chris Driedger Makes 18th Start On Thursday

Florida Panthers goaltender Chris Driedger will make his 18th start of the campaign on Thursday versus Carolina. The 26-year-old will try to extend a three-game winning streak. Driedger has won 11 of his previous starts with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage. He's recorded two shutouts for the year, both of which have come in his last five starts. The Winnipeg-born netminder seems to be in superb form, but the Panthers have already taken one heavy loss against the Hurricanes this week, and they are visiting a team that is 13-2-3 on home ice this season.

The duo has carried the team to a six-game winning streak.

Driedger has gone 2-1-0 versus the Red Wings with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage. He has lost only one of his previous five starts, and actually also did well in the losing effort by allowing only two goals with a .920 save percentage in a 3-0 loss to Dallas. Driedger has allowed over two goals just three times thus far, so he's a solid option for fantasy managers.
