Jordan Eberle Back In Action Saturday

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (pelvic) will return from a 40-game absence on Saturday against the Florida Panthers. He has been out since Nov. 16 due to a pelvic injury. Eberle recently had a conditioning stint in the AHL but didn't see any game action, so fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if the veteran winger is rusty in his first few games back. At the start of the season, Eberle played well with the Kraken, producing six goals and 11 points in 17 contests. Eberle regularly works on the first power-play unit in Seattle and fills a top-six role. Defenseman Ryker Evans (upper body) will also be back in the Kraken lineup against the reigning Stanley Cup champions.

Jordan Eberle Starts Conditioning Stint In AHL

Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (pelvic) has been assigned to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds on a conditioning loan. Eberle has missed three months of action following pelvic surgery, but it looks like he is getting close to returning to the Kraken lineup. The veteran winger posted six goals and 11 points in 17 games before getting hurt. Seattle will continue its season on Feb. 22 against the Florida Panthers. Once he's back in the fold, Eberle should reclaim a top-six spot and work with the first power-play unit.

Yanni Gourde Undergoes Sports-Hernia Surgery

According to the team, Seattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde (abdomen) underwent sports hernia surgery on Friday. The team noted that the 33-year-old is expected to be sidelined five-to-seven weeks. Gourde has been battling a lower-body injury throughout the season and will now face a longer recovery timetable. Across 35 games, Gourde scored six goals and added 10 helpers with a -5 rating. He logged 58 hits and 26 blocks. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Matty Beniers and Chandler Stephenson to continue to operate as the top centers in the lineup. When Gourde does return, he will likely return to the third line. Last season, Gourde made 80 starts with the Kraken and, found the back of the net 11 times, and added 22 helpers.

Ryker Evans Day-To-Day With Upper-Body Injury

According to Alison Lukan of the Seattle Kraken, defenseman Ryker Evans (upper body) is day-to-day with an injury. Evans was unable to participate in Thursday's morning skate. In their recent contest on Tuesday evening against the Anaheim Ducks, Evans saw his ice time drop significantly, which could suggest he sustained this injury during the game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his stats prior to their contest against the Calgary Flames on Sunday evening, as he is not expected to play on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. As a result, fantasy managers should expect Cale Fleury to draw into the starting lineup, as he was recalled from the AHL earlier on Thursday. Across two games this season, Fleury tallied four hits, three blocks, and no points.

Ryker Evans A Game-Time Decision On Saturday

Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. His status is uncertain after missing Friday's practice due to an undisclosed injury. Evans has had a strong season with the Kraken, recording 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 47 games, along with 71 blocks and 77 hits. If Evans is unable to play, Jamie Oleksiak will likely take on a larger role at the back. The team would also need to make a roster move, as Seattle is currently carrying only six blue-liners.

Chandler Stephenson Will Be A Game-Time Decision Saturday

Seattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's meeting with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 30-year-old was hurt in Thursday's 3-0 defeat to the Washington Capitals. Stephenson is facing an injury setback during a prolific stretch, having scored three goals in his last four games and averaging a point per game over that span. Jared McCann (undisclosed) is also a game-time decision for Saturday, which means Seattle may have to face Sidney Crosby and his gang without two of its top three scorers. As a result, Shane Wright could land a top-six spot, while Eeli Tolvanen might also move up in the lineup.

Jared McCann A Game-Time Call Saturday

Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 28-year-old might skip a meeting with his former team after missing Friday's practice session with an unspecified injury. It's been an up-and-down season for McCann, but he remains the Kraken's leading scorer with 36 points (14 goals, 22 assists) in 49 games. Tye Kartye is set to rejoin the lineup if McCann is unable to play for the first time this season. Kartye brings physicality to the team but doesn't offer fantasy value on the offensive side.

Chandler Stephenson Exits Early On Thursday

According to Curtis Crabtree of FOX13 Seattle, Seattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (undisclosed) exited Thursday's contest early. Head coach Dan Bylsma did not have an update on his status during the postgame interview and noted that the 30-year-old would go for further evaluation. Stephenson exited the contest in the second frame. Before leaving, he logged one blocked shot and did not get on the scoresheet. If he were to miss time, Jared McCann or Shane Wright would likely be moved up to the second line, and Tye Kartye would draw into the starting lineup. Entering Thursday, Stephenson tallied 10 points over his last 10 games. During this span, he scored five goals and added five helpers, with one of them coming on the power-play.

Brandon Tanev A Game-Time Call Saturday

Seattle Kraken winger Brandon Tanev (illness) is a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against Los Angeles. Tanev missed Thursday's clash with Winnipeg due to an illness and may have to sit out another game on Saturday. Tanev has notched 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 44 games this season while delivering 96 hits. Tye Kartye played instead of Tanev on Thursday. Kartye is second on the team with 127 hits but offers much less offense than Tanev. The 23-year-old has posted three goals and three assists in 42 games.

Joey Daccord Activated From Injured Reserve

Seattle Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord (upper body) was activated from Injured Reserve on Tuesday. This paves the way for him to return to the lineup in Thursday's matchup against Columbus. Daccord has been absent since Dec. 22 due to an upper-body injury. The Boston-born goalie has dropped each of his last four starts but has enjoyed a solid campaign overall. Through 23 starts, Daccord is sporting a 12-9-2 record with one shutout. He has registered a 2.51 goals-against average with a .912 save percentage. Philipp Grubauer has gone 2-3-0 in the Kraken crease during Daccord's absence.

Adam Larsson  • D  •  Kraken

Adam Larsson Available Monday

Seattle Kraken defenseman Adam Larsson (upper body) will play against New Jersey on Monday. An upper-body injury limited Larsson to 12 minutes in his last appearance against Edmonton, but he has shaken off the ailment ahead of Monday. Larsson offers minimal fantasy value on the offensive end but racks up peripheral stats at a good rate. In 40 outings, he has recorded seven points (one goal, six assists), 52 shots, 83 blocks, and 55 hits. The Swedish blue-liner will take his usual spot on the first defensive pairing next to Vince Dunn.

Kaapo Kakko Tallies Two Helpers On Monday

Seattle Kraken right wing Kaapo Kakko tallied two helpers in their victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Monday evening. Kakko tallied the primary assist on Jaden Schwartz's eventual game-winning tally in the third period. Later in this frame, Kakko added another primary assist, this time on Matty Beniers' sixth goal of the season. Since joining the Seattle Kraken, Kakko has tallied three points over six games. The former second-overall selection has logged three games with at least three shots on goal and three games with at least two hits. The 23-year-old has continued to play on the top line in Seattle but has yet to see his offensive production significantly increase. Given his inconsistent production, he remains only a target for deeper formats and a risky play in DFS.

Jaden Schwartz Tallies Three Points On Monday

Seattle Kraken left wing Jaden Schwartz tallied three points in their victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Monday evening. Schwartz tallied two helpers in the opening frame. He tallied the secondary assist on Yanni Gourde's sixth goal of the season and the primary assist on Andre Burakovsky's third of the season. In the final frame, Schwartz would score his 12th goal of the season which served as the game-winner in this contest. The 32-year-old has now tallied six points over his past four games. During this span, he has scored four times including once on the power-play. Before this offensive surge, he tallied just one point over his previous six games. Schwartz is worth a look as a streaming option while he remains productive and could be a value play on Thursday evening in DFS when the Kraken host the Canucks.

Kaapo Kakko Scores First Goal With Seattle

Seattle Kraken right wing Kaapo Kakko scored his first goal with his new club on Sunday evening during their loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Kakko scoring in the second frame on a snap shot which beat Colorado netminder Mackenzie Blackwood. Matty Beniers tallied the primary assist. Kakko finished this contest with a +1 rating, three shots on goal and five hits. This is a great sign for the former second-overall selection at it took him just three games to get on the scoresheet with his new team. Throughout this small stint, Kakko has been deployed on the top unit alongside Jaden Schwartz and Matt Beniers. Kakko could be worth a look as a streaming option if he can continue to be productive in the scoring department. He will look to continue this performance on Saturday, in Vancouver.

Yanni Gourde  • C  •  Kraken

Yanni Gourde Returns To Kraken Lineup Thursday

Seattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde (lower body) is ready to return from a three-game absence on Thursday against Chicago. He's expected to grab a second-line role, working as the center between Jaden Schwartz and Brandon Tanev. Gourde's offensive output has been limited to five goals and nine assists in 29 games this season. However, his scoring rate has improved this month, as Gourde has averaged a point per game in four appearances. The Blackhawks share the league's worst record with Nashville and allow over three goals per game (3.16), so Gourde will be in a good position to continue his recent hot spell.

Kaapo Kakko Traded To Seattle

The Seattle Kraken have acquired right wing Kaapo Kakko in a trade with the New York Rangers. The team gave up defenseman Will Borgen, a 2025 third-round pick, and a 2025 sixth-round pick in the deal. Kakko, a former No. 2 pick, heads to the Western Conference after having a tough time with the Rangers. He's posted 131 points (61 goals, 70 assists) in 330 career games, including 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) in 30 appearances this season. Kakko gets a fresh start on a new team, but it remains to be seen if the move helps to unlock his full potential.

Yanni Gourde Absent Against Bruins

Seattle Kraken center Yanni Gourde (lower body) won't play against Boston on Thursday. He sustained a lower-body injury in Tuesday's matchup against Florida and will be out for a second time this season. The good news is that Gourde is considered day-to-day, so he shouldn't be out for long. His first chance to return comes on Saturday versus Tampa Bay. Gourde has been among the Kraken's hottest forwards lately, averaging a point per game across the last four contests. He's collected 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 29 games throughout the season. Ryan Winterton is projected to enter the lineup as Gourde's replacement, with Brandon Tanev getting a chance to skate in a first-line role.

Gourde collected his 14th point of the campaign via an assist in the contest. 10 of his points have come in Gourde's last 12 outings. Brandon Tanev will be in line to get extra work if Gourde isn't ready to play on Thursday versus Boston. Joey Daccord Faces Panthers On Tuesday

Seattle Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord (illness) will return to the crease on Tuesday versus Florida. He was unavailable on Sunday against the Rangers because of an illness. Daccord stepped aside after having won back-to-back starts. The 28-year-old has suffered only four losses since the start of last month, putting together a strong 12-6-1 record for the season. He has produced one shutout while allowing 2.50 goals with a .913 save percentage. To improve his record on Tuesday, Daccord has to find a way to keep the league's third-best offense quiet. Florida has averaged 3.75 goals a night in 2024-25.

Oliver Bjorkstrand Continues Scoring Tear With Four-Point Effort

Seattle Kraken right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand had a monster outing against the Rangers on Sunday, racking up two goals and two assists in a 7-5 victory. He became the first player in franchise history to post multiple four-point efforts with the team. Three of his points, including both goals, came in the second frame, matching Seattle's all-time record for most points scored in a single period. Following a slow start to the season, things have clicked for Bjorkstrand lately, as he's tallied five goals and 12 points in his last nine outings. The prolific run has boosted Bjorkstrand's points tally for the season to 20 (nine goals, 11 assists) through 28 appearances.
