Shane Wright Fantasy Stats

The Nashville Predators acquired forward Shane Wright from the Seattle Kraken on Sunday in exchange for forward Matthew Wood. After being the fourth-overall pick in 2022, Wright never got going in Seattle and now gets a fresh start. This season, Wright has scored three goals and four points in 14 games. Things started well for Wright, as he went scoreless only once in the first four games. However, he quickly lost momentum. Wright is in the final year of his entry-level contract and must improve his numbers in Nashville to earn a lucrative extension.

Seattle Kraken forward Shane Wright (upper body) scored the team's only goal in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. He gave Seattle a lead early in the second period, but the Golden Knights eventually picked the visitors apart. Wright had missed the previous eight games due to an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old has one more matchup to go in 2025-26, facing Colorado on Thursday night. Wright has tallied 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 73 outings. This marks a significant step back for him after collecting 44 points a year ago. Heading into the final year of his entry-level contract, Wright should have plenty of motivation to turn things around next season.

Seattle Kraken forward Shane Wright (upper body) skated on his own on Monday morning and is expected to miss a fourth consecutive game against the Winnipeg Jets. The 22-year-old is working his way back from an upper-body injury. Since he hasn't practiced with the team, it appears likely that Wright will also sit out Tuesday's clash against Minnesota. Wright has appeared in 72 games this season, posting 11 goals and 15 assists. He's been limited to 13:49 of ice time per game in a bottom-six role, which keeps his fantasy value low.

Seattle Kraken forward Shane Wright (undisclosed) won't finish Saturday's tilt against the Buffalo Sabres. The team ruled him out for the rest of the game midway through the second period. Wright was also hurt in Thursday's win over Tampa Bay and may have already been in some discomfort before the puck dropped on Saturday. The 22-year-old had an assist on Thursday, bringing his total to 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 71 games. He hasn't missed any games this season, but Wright may now need to take some time off to heal after being limited in back-to-back games.

Seattle Kraken center Shane Wright aims to become a full-time NHLer in 2024-25. The fourth pick of the 2022 draft has been limited to only 16 appearances in two seasons since entering the league. Wright has had a tough time making an impact, notching just seven points (five goals, two assists). However, he finished last season on a high note, averaging a point per game in five April appearances, which has given him a belief that he can have a "prominent role" in the NHL. Wright's confidence is further boosted by the hiring of Dan Bylsma as the Kraken's new head coach. Playing under his guidance in the AHL, Wright logged 22 goals and 47 points in 59 games last season. He added 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 12 playoff appearances.

Seattle Kraken center Shane Wright was assigned to his junior team in the OHL on Friday. The news comes after Wright helped Canada to win the World Junior Championships, posting four goals and seven points in seven games. The 19-year-old joined Team Canada after skating in only eight games for Seattle, averaging a measly 8:29 of ice time. There's currently clearly no spot in Seattle for the fourth pick of this year's draft, so sending him back to his OHL team, the Kingston Frontenacs, is probably the best move for all parties. Wright, who managed one goal and one assist in his first few games in the NHL, won't be eligible to return to the Kraken until his junior season has finished.

Seattle Kraken center Shane Wright is set to re-enter the lineup for Tuesday's tilt against Montreal. The team recalled him from his conditioning stint in the AHL on Monday and Wright rolled with the third line at Tuesday's morning skate. This is of course an intriguing matchup, with the Canadiens having elected against choosing Wright with the No. 1 pick in this year's draft. The 18-year-old fell all the way down to fourth, and he has failed to nail down a spot for himself in the Kraken squad, skating in just seven games and averaging barely eight minutes of ice time. He hasn't even yet scored in the NHL, but knowing how the hockey gods work, it will probably now happen against Montreal. Wright already hit some good goal-scoring form in the minors, netting four times in five games.
