Steven Stamkos Scores his 40th Goal of the Year

Nashville Predators center Steven Stamkos scored his 40th goal of the year in a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. It is the eighth time in his career that Stamkos has reached the 40-goal mark. He has 622 goals in his career, which is 19th all-time and third among active players, only behind Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.

Roman Josi Nursing Upper-Body Injury

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi was a late scratch on Thursday against the Utah Mammoth due to an upper-body injury. The Predators captain took part in the pregame warmups but wasn't healthy enough to play. Nashville announced that Josi is considered day-to-day. Losing Josi is a tough blow for the Predators, who are one point away from a playoff spot after losing Thursday's game 4-1. Josi has logged points in each of his last four appearances, improving his total for the season to 54 points (13 goals, 41 assists) in 66 games. Jordan Oesterle replaced him in the lineup against Utah, while Ryan Ufko led all Predators defensemen in power-play time with 2:20.

Justus Annunen Ends Predators' 120-Game Streak Without a Shutout

Nashville Predators goaltender Justus Annunen stood on his head on Tuesday night against the Anaheim Ducks, recording his third career shutout with 43 saves in a 5-0 road win. Incredibly, the Predators hadn't kept the opposition from scoring since January 2025, a streak of 120 regular-season games. Annunen's last shutout was over two years ago, in March 2024. Nashville's No. 2 has come up big for the team recently, winning three of his last five starts. Overall, Annunen has a 9-11-2 record this season. He has often ended up in the losing column, despite holding a 2.78 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

Nicolas Hague Exits Early Against Sharks

Nashville Predators defenseman Nicolas Hague (undisclosed) made an early exit against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night. Hague had logged only 2:34 of ice time when the team ruled him out for the rest of the game due to an undisclosed injury. During his first year in Nashville, Hague has seen his playing time increase to a career-high 19:38 per game. He has recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 assists), 56 SOG, 54 blocks, and 76 hits. Nashville will kick off the new week on Monday night in L.A., and Ryan Ufko could get a chance to play after being a healthy scratch for three games.

Filip Forsberg Takes Predators Past Blackhawks

Nashville Predators left wing Filip Forsberg was the difference-maker in Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks, tallying two goals and an assist in a 3-2 overtime win. Forsberg scored Nashville's first and last goals and assisted Steven Stamkos in the third period. He became the sixth Swedish player in history to score 350 regular-season goals in the NHL. With 32 goals through 70 outings, Forsberg has recorded his third consecutive 30-goal campaign. He has also registered 30 assists. After a four-game slump, Forsberg has looked like a different player in recent outings, putting together a four-game scoring streak with four goals and five assists. Nashville's unlikely push into the playoff picture should give Forsberg every reason to stay locked in for the rest of the season.

Steven Stamkos Notches Three Points in Win Over Golden Knights

Nashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos had his fifth three-point outing of the campaign on Saturday, tallying two goals and one assist in a 4-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. The veteran star earned two points on the power play. Stamkos was very slow out of the gate this season, but only three players have scored more goals than him since December. He has already recorded more points than last season, with 33 goals and 22 assists in 69 games. The Predators are in desperate mode to make the playoffs, which should keep Stamkos performing at a high level for the rest of the way.

Juuse Saros to Remain Out Sunday

Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros (upper body) is expected to miss a third consecutive game on Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks, Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News reports. He landed on the shelf this week with an upper-body injury, prompting the team to recall Matt Murray from the minors. Justus Annunen has started back-to-back games, but Murray might get a look on Sunday since this is the second game in as many days for the Predators. Annunen has done an admirable job filling in for Saros, securing two consecutive wins and allowing just one goal in each game. Murray recorded a shutout win in his only start this season, stopping 23 shots in a 4-0 victory against Minnesota on Jan. 8.

Juuse Saros Dealing with Upper-Body Injury

Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports. He missed Thursday's matchup with the Seattle Kraken but could be an option over the weekend when Nashville has a back-to-back set. Saros has posted a 24-19-7 record, a 3.14 goals-against average, and a .894 save percentage across 51 starts this season. Justus Annunen was in net on Thursday night and had a good outing with 25 saves in a 3-1 win. The team recalled Matt Murray from the minors to serve as the backup.

Ryan O'Reilly Sustains Eye Injury Tuesday

Nashville Predators center Ryan O'Reilly suffered an eye injury in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was hit in the eye area by a stick late in the third period and will be evaluated when the team returns home after Tuesday's road game. In a statement, the Predators announced they "expect that he is going to be OK." The team plans to provide an update on O'Reilly on Thursday. O'Reilly scored a 2-1 go-ahead goal for the Predators against Columbus and has had a great campaign. In 61 outings, he has tallied a team-high 59 points (22 goals, 37 assists).

Adam Wilsby Exits Early Versus Stars

Nashville Predators defenseman Adam Wilsby (lower body) was limited to 5:48 of ice time in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars. He suffered a lower-body injury, leaving the action early in the second period. The Swedish blue-liner has registered 12 points, 47 shots, and 37 blocks across 45 games this season. Justin Barron will likely replace Wilsby in the lineup if he doesn't recover in time for Monday's tilt against the Detroit Red Wings.

Juuse Saros Starting Wednesday

Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros will start for Finland against Slovakia on Wednesday. He is expected to be the team's No. 1 throughout the Olympic tournament, ahead of Kevin Lankinen of the Vancouver Canucks and Joonas Korpisalo of the Boston Bruins. Saros has not been at his best in 2025-26. He has no shutouts in 44 starts, posting a 21-17-5 record, a 3.20 goals-against average, and a .892 save percentage. The 30-year-old has allowed at least three goals in nine consecutive starts. Still, Saros remains Finland's best option in net and has previously performed at a high level with the team. Across the Four Nations Face-Off and three World Championships, Saros has gone 7-4 with Team Finland, allowing 1.71 goals with a .941 save percentage. He has tallied three shutouts in 11 games.

Ryan O'Reilly Delivers Three Assists in Overtime Loss

Nashville Predators center Ryan O'Reilly finished Wednesday's high-scoring 6-5 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild with three assists. The veteran forward started off the night with a power-play assist in the first period and served up an even-strength assist in the second and third periods. O'Reilly has been one of the surprise performers in fantasy hockey this season, averaging a point per game for the first time in his 17-year NHL career. He's on track for an 80-point campaign after managing only 53 points a season ago. In 56 outings, O'Reilly has posted 20 goals and 36 assists. He will attempt to post a three-game multi-point streak on Thursday against Washington, something O'Reilly hasn't done in the regular season since 2016-17.

Roman Josi Has Four Assists in Huge Comeback Win

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi finished Monday's 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Blues with four assists. The Predators captain registered a power-play assist in the first period and added three more during even-strength play when Nashville turned a 5-1 deficit into a win. This was Josi's fourth career four-assist game, tying Victor Hedman, Morgan Rielly, and Quinn Hughes for the most among active defensemen. After putting health issues behind him, Josi is having a good campaign in Music City. In 43 outings, he has contributed 10 goals and 27 assists. Only nine blue-liners have averaged more points than Josi (0.86 per game).

Nicolas Hague Out Week-to-Week

Nashville Predators defenseman Nicolas Hague (lower body) was labeled week-to-week before Saturday's loss to the Utah Mammoth. He exited the lineup due to a lower-body injury, with Adam Wilsby (lower body) filling in for Hague in his return from a four-game injury absence. The injury to Hague will all but end his attempt to reach 20 points for the first time in his career. The 27-year-old has totaled 11 points (two goals, nine assists), 32 shots, 37 blocks, and 54 hits in 41 appearances this season. Since Wilsby isn't known for scoring either, the change in Nashville's lineup doesn't really affect fantasy hockey.

Ryan O'Reilly Extends Scoring Streak With Three-Point Effort

Nashville Predators center Ryan O'Reilly finished Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres with two goals and one assist. Nashville fell four goals behind before attempting a comeback, with O'Reilly leading the charge. This was O'Reilly's fifth consecutive appearance with at least one point. He has had only one longer point streak this season. Following a rough start, it has turned out to be a good campaign for O'Reilly, who is on pace for a career-high 79 points. After 49 outings, the 17-year-old veteran sits on 18 goals and 29 assists.

Jonathan Marchessault Moved to Injured Reserve

Nashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) was shifted to Injured Reserve on Tuesday. He missed his 13th consecutive game on Tuesday night against the Edmonton Oilers. The 2023 playoffs MVP has been out with a lower-body injury, and it's unclear when Nashville will have him available again. Marchessault has been limited to 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in 28 appearances this season and carries an ugly minus-18 rating. Strangely, the Predators have been streaking without Marchessault, winning nine of the 13 games he has missed.

Roman Josi Ends Dry Spell With Three-Point Effort

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi was instrumental in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals, factoring in on all three of his team's goals. The Predators captain finished with the game-winning goal and added two assists. Two points, including his goal, came on the power play for Josi, who entered Sunday's contest with a four-game scoreless run. It's been a bit of a rocky patch for Josi lately, but he will be pleased to know that his team has upped its level of play in recent weeks. Thanks to an 8-4-0 surge, the Predators are now only two points out of a wild-card position in the Western Conference. Josi has tallied 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 33 games this season, while recording 85 shots and 49 blocked shots.

Steven Stamkos Shines Monday Night With Three Points

Nashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos turned back the clock on Monday night and produced a game-winning performance in a 4-3 victory over the Utah Mammoth. The 35-year-old veteran recorded two goals and one assist. Midway through the third period, the Predators trailed 3-2 before Stamkos turned things around with two goals, including a power-play marker. This was Stamkos' third multi-point effort in five games. After logging nine points through the first couple of months, the two-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner has erupted for 16 points (11 goals, five assists) in 13 December appearances. He is the NHL's leading goal-scorer this month and is tied with teammate Ryan O'Reilly for the most points. For the season, Stamkos has managed 17 goals and 25 points in 38 contests.

Jonathan Marchessault Out Day-to-Day

Nashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) was labeled day-to-day on Friday. He sustained a lower-body injury on Wednesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. The veteran escaped a serious injury, but he could still miss some action. Nashville continues its season this weekend with a back-to-back against the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers. Marchessault has yet to get going in 2025-26, posting only 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in 28 contests. With Marchessault sidelined, Luke Evangelista and Matthew Wood could see increased ice time, and Tyson Jost is expected to fill his spot in the lineup.

Jonathan Marchessault Exits Early Wednesday

Nashville Predators right wing Jonathan Marchessault (lower body) logged only 5:27 of ice time in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. He was forced to leave the game early due to a lower-body injury. Marchessault's season in Music City has been a nightmare, and a significant injury would only add to his frustrations. The three-time 30-goal scorer has lit the lamp only seven times in 28 outings, adding three assists. His minus-18 rating is tied for the third-worst mark in the league. Rookie Reid Schaefer could get an opportunity to impress in a larger role if Marchessault misses time.
