Kirby Dach Moves To First Line With Henrik Borgstrom Sick
Chicago Blackhawks center Kirby Dach will roll with the first line on Saturday against Toronto, with Henrik Borgstrom dropping out of the lineup because of an illness. The Swede was moved to the top line on Thursday against Montreal, and he ended up getting himself a goal straight away in a 2-0 win. Dach moves up from the third line. The 20-year-old has been quiet this season with 10 points, but he won't have any excuses anymore as he links up with Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane. They have combined for 21 goals and 42 points this season. Borgstrom's absence also brings Dylan Strome back into the lineup. He takes over Dach's spot as the third-line center.
Henrik Borgstrom Has A Prolific Start On First Line
Chicago Blackhawks center Henrik Borgstrom completed the scoring in Thursday's 2-0 win over Montreal, netting his second goal of the campaign 12 minutes into the third period. The 24-year-old was promoted to the first line for the game, and he managed to leave a good impression straight away. Borgstrom logged a season-high 17:08 and finished his night at the office with two shots and one block. This was a great start in a new role for the Swede, and he'll try to start building a point streak on Saturday against Toronto.
Henrik Borgstrom Skates On Top Line Versus Montreal
Chicago Blackhawks center Henrik Borgstrom has earned an opportunity to play with Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane on Thursday against Montreal. The Blackhawks have been rolling with their big guns Kane and Jonathan Toews together lately, but Chicago's captain now drops down to the second line with Brandon Hagel, who's also been on first-line duty in recent games. Borgstrom has been a bottom-six forward for the team, who doesn't provide much on the offensive front. He's stuck on just two points for the year and hasn't added to his tally since the start of last month. However, the Swedish forward now has a great opportunity to end his drought.
