Jarred Tinordi Fantasy Stats

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed defenseman Jarred Tinordi on injured reserve due to a groin strain. The blueliner logged just 11:56 in a loss to the Wild on Feb. 7 and sat out an overtime loss versus the Rangers two nights later. The 31-year-old has six assists in 30 games this season along with a minus-19 rating. He brings plenty of physicality to the table, however, with 100 hits, 62 blocks, and 40 penalty minutes as part of his 15:44 average ice time per game. A former first-round pick, Tinordi has played sparingly in parts of nine NHL seasons, skating in 183 regular-season games with four goals and 27 points along with 210 penalty minutes in that time.

He managed to register one block and was plus-one before exiting. Talk about bad luck. The veteran blue-liner has already missed time with a hip injury this month and he also took an inadvertent skate to his chin in a game just a little over a week ago. Fortunately, Sunday's incident didn't reopen the wound under Tinordi's chin that needed 50-100 stitches to fix it. Despite missing time, Tinordi is among the league leaders with 92 hits in 25 games, and he's also registered 37 blocks with 17 shots and five points.
