Considering the update, it looks unlikely Vesey will be ready for the start of the regular season. The Rangers begin their campaign on Oct. 9 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. Youngsters Brennan Othmann and Adam Edstrom will have a chance to land a spot on the team in Vesey's absence.
