K'Andre Miller Working His Way Back From Surgery

New York Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller is recovering from upper-body surgery. According to Mollie Walker of The New York Post, Miller sustained the ailment toward the end of the 2024-25 season. He attempted to rehab the injury but ultimately decided that surgery was his best option. The 25-year-old is expected to make a full recovery and be healthy around the start of next season. It remains to be seen if Miller will kick off the campaign as a member of the Rangers, as he is set for restricted free agency this summer, reaching the end of a two-year, $7.7 million deal. Miller has proven himself to be a tenacious two-way force in the NHL, recording 27 points (seven goals, 20 assists), 110 shots, 110 blocks, and 107 hits in 74 appearances this season.

Additionally, he registered a career-high 145 blocks with 146 hits. Igor Shesterkin Shuts Out Lightning With 27 Saves

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin ended the season on a high note, stopping all 27 shots he faced in Thursday's 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner collected his sixth shutout of the season, matching his career high. Shesterkin will have at least something to celebrate from a frustrating season, which he concluded with a 27-29-5 record. He posted a career-worst 2.86 goals-against average and had a .905 save percentage, also his worst-ever mark in the NHL. The Rangers must build a better team around Shesterkin to fully benefit from his talents.

J.T. Miller Posts Third Straight Two-Point Game

New York Rangers center J.T. Miller tallied two points for the third consecutive game on Monday evening during their 5-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. Miller would find the back of the net in the second frame during 5-on-5 play. Later in the third, Miller would tally the primary assist on Vincent Trocheck's game-winning shorthanded goal. Over his last 11 contests, Miller has been quite effective on the scoresheet, scoring six goals and adding 10 helpers. Before this surge, he tallied just three points (all helpers) over his last seven games. The Rangers acquired Miller on January 31 from the Vancouver Canucks. He has consistently seen top-six minutes in the New York offense and has enjoyed a strong conclusion to the season. He remains a solid option in DFS in their final game against Tampa Bay on Thursday evening.

Braden Schneider To Miss Final Two Games

New York Rangers defenseman Braden Schneider (upper body) will exit the lineup for the final two games of the regular season. The 23-year-old has been dealing with an upper-body injury during the season and will now get proper time to heal, with the Rangers eliminated from postseason contention. During a difficult campaign, Schneider was one of only a few bright spots for the Rangers. He totaled a career-high 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 80 games, ranking first on the team with 145 blocks and third with 146 hits. Matthew Robertson has been summoned from the AHL and looks set to fill in for Schneider in the last couple of games.

Mika Zibanejad Records Four Assists In Losing Effort

New York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad dished out four assists on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers but could not save his team from an 8-5 defeat. Zibanejad's playmaking helped the Rangers take a 4-3 lead in the third period, but the team ultimately allowed five goals in the last 12 minutes of play. The four-point effort marks a season-high for Zibanejad, whose overall form in 2024-25 has been lacking. He has averaged his fewest points since the 2017-18 campaign, notching 17 goals and 39 assists over 56 contests. This will likely be Zibanejad's first season with fewer than 20 goals in eight years.

K'Andre Miller A Game-Time Decision Wednesday

New York Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller (illness) is considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. He has been battling an illness this week and may sit out a second straight game. Zac Jones took over Miller's spot in the lineup on Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Jones had four shots and one block in the game over 17:52 of action as the Rangers' playoff hopes suffered a blow with a 5-1 defeat. If Miller isn't feeling well enough to return, Jones will continue to accompany Will Borgen on the second defensive pairing on Wednesday night.

In 36 outings this season, Rempe has delivered 103 hits while amassing 63 penalty minutes. Offensively, he has contributed two goals and three assists with 25 shots on goal. Mika Zibanejad Good To Go Against Devils

New York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad (illness) is expected to play against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. Zibanejad was iffy for the contest after missing Friday's practice due to an illness. He is expected to be accompanied by Will Cuylle and Jonny Brodzinski on the third line. The 2024-25 season has been a rough campaign for Zibanejad, whose offensive contributions have been limited to 16 goals and 35 assists in 75 outings. He holds a team-worst minus-20 rating. Over his last eight appearances, Zibanejad has only added to his points tally twice.

Artemi Panarin Tallies Three Points In Overtime Victory

New York Rangers left wing Artemi Panarin tallied three points during their 5-4 overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild. In overtime, he would tally the primary helper on Vincent Trocheck's game-winning goal. This was Panarin's third-straight outing tallying multiple points. Over his previous 16 contests, the 33-year-old has found the back of the net 11 times and added 12 assists, with three of those helpers coming on the power play. Fantasy managers should continue to view Panarin as a high-end winger in all standard formats. He will look to stay hot on Saturday against the New Jersey Devils.

The 22-year-old enforcer has registered five points (two goals, three assists) in 36 games, along with 103 hits and 63 penalty minutes. Brett Berard, who has totaled eight points (four goals, four assists) in 28 games, may see regular action during Rempe's absence.

The 23-year-old scored three goals and dished out one assist. Kaliyev has only been a fourth-liner, averaging 11:12 of ice time for the season, and his absence will not have an impact on fantasy hockey.

Igor Shesterkin Remains In Rangers Crease Sunday

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is set to play for the second consecutive day on Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers. He produced his fifth shutout of the season in Saturday's 4-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Shesterkin also defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in overtime on Thursday night, so he is in the midst of a very busy stretch and will make his third appearance in four days. Shesterkin has not won three consecutive starts since January when he had his season-best four-game winning streak. The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner boasts a 23-22-4 record for the season and has given up 2.79 goals with a .907 save percentage. Adam Fox Ready To Rejoin Rangers Lineup

New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox (upper body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is poised to rejoin the lineup on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He has missed eight games due to an upper-body injury. Fox should reclaim his spot on the first defensive pairing and the top power-play unit. K'Andre Miller's fantasy value will take a hit with Fox's return. Before his injury, Fox registered points in seven consecutive contests. He has managed five goals and 48 points in 58 games this season. Carson Soucy will likely be the odd man out on defense for Rangers against Columbus.

Igor Shesterkin Starting On Thursday

New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin will get the starting nod on Thursday against the Minnesota Wild. During this span, he allowed one goal or less in two games but allowed three or more in the other four. Through 47 total games this season, the 29-year-old has had a disappointing season to his standard as he sits with a modest 21-22-4, a 2.87 GAA, and a .905 save percentage. He is a solid play in DFS as he still carries high upside despite a tough matchup.
