Tye Kartye Registers First Career Three-Point Game

New York Rangers left wing Tye Kartye had his first career three-point game in Wednesday's matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning, contributing two goals and one assist in a 4-2 road win. He scored the first two goals of the game, striking early in the first and second periods. The 24-year-old finished the campaign with a career-high 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 64 games. 14 of his points, including five goals, came in 24 outings since the Rangers claimed him off waivers in late February. Kartye was a good fit for the Rangers and remains under contract for one more campaign after agreeing to a two-year, $2.5 million deal with the Seattle Kraken last offseason.

Kraken Re-Sign Tye Kartye for Two Years

Seattle Kraken left wing Tye Kartye has re-signed with the team on a two-year, $2.5 million contract. The 24-year-old is set to start his third season with the Kraken after he was picked up as an undrafted free agent. Kartye has been a physical presence in the Kraken lineup, averaging close to four hits per game in 140 outings with the team. Offensively, he chipped in with six goals and seven assists in 63 games last season. While Kartye has been a good fit for Seattle, he offers no fantasy value because of his limited offensive arsenal.

Tye Kartye Nets Game 6 Winner For Seattle

Seattle Kraken forward Tye Kartye scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 6-3 victory over Dallas. The 22-year-old made it 4-1 Seattle early in the second period, chasing Jake Oettinger from the game. The Stars managed to close the gap a couple of times, but Kartye and the Kraken eventually cruised to victory, extending the second-round series to seven games. Kartye has played a significant role in the matchup, posting two goals and two assists across the last five games. He has tallied three goals in total in the playoffs, which puts him tied for the top spot in the league among first-year players. Only Chris Kreider (5) and Eddie Mazur (4) have scored more playoff goals in the NHL prior to their regular-season debut.

Tye Kartye Scores His Second Postseason Goal

Seattle Kraken forward Tye Kartye scored the team's first goal and had five hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Dallas. He was set up by Vince Dunn in the middle of the second frame, but the Kraken were already two goals down by then and couldn't save the game. Kartye scored with his lone shot on goal and his line also included one block. The 22-year-old is filling in for Jared McCann (undisclosed) on the first line and Kartye had done a decent job. He has two goals in total for the postseason and boasts 19 hits through five games.

Tye Kartye Makes NHL Debut, Scores Goal In Game 5 Victory

Seattle Kraken forward Tye Kartye scored his first career NHL goal in Wednesday's 3-2 victory against the Avalanche in Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series. Kartye was making his NHL debut as a result of injured forward Jared McCann being unable to suit up for the game, and the Kraken managed to come out on top and move one step closer to winning their first playoff series in franchise history. Kartye gave the Kraken a one goal lead at the halfway point of the game, while finishing with close to nine minutes of ice time in his first career game.
