J.T. Compher Ready To Go Saturday

Detroit Red Wings forward J.T. Compher (undisclosed) will likely return to the lineup Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers. Compher missed five games due to the injury but is expected to rejoin the Wings on Saturday. The 28-year-old will skate between Michael Rasmussen and Patrick Kane as part of the top six while also holding a spot on the top powerplay unit. Compher has amassed 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 24 games in his first season as a Red Wing. He is a solid points league option, especially in league where faceoffs count.

J.T. Compher Placed On Injured Reserve

The Detroit Red Wings have placed forward J.T. Compher (soreness) on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Dec. 5. Compher has missed the team's last two games, so he is eligible to return from IR on Dec. 14 against Carolina. The 28-year-old has been rock-solid for his new team, posting 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 24 games for a career-high pace. If he can get healthy, he has a pretty good shot at reaching the 50-point plateau for the second time in his career. Compher is a strong option in deeper fantasy leagues or leagues that value faceoff wins. With Dylan Larkin also going on IR, the Wings will be extremely short down the middle. Andrew Copp and Joe Veleno are currently penciled in as the top two options.

J.T. Compher Grabs Two Points Against Pittsburgh

Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher enjoyed a two-point outing Wednesday against the Penguins, registering a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss. The 27-year-old scored his 15th goal of the season and had a power-play assist during a busy night that saw Compher eat up 24:25 of ice time. Colorado has lost a couple of top-six pieces lately and Compher soaked in some of the available minutes. He could be set for a big finish to the season if he continues to carry a huge load. Compher has notched 47 points in 70 games this term, and he will look to match his season-high with a four-game point streak in the next matchup against Arizona.

J.T. Compher Erupts For Four Points

Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher had a spectacular outing Sunday against Edmonton, playing his part in a nice comeback victory with a goal and three assists. Compher scored the team's first goal and tallied his helpers on three consecutive goals when Colorado turned a 5-3 deficit into a 6-5 overtime win. The 27-year-old now boasts six points from his last two outings. He had previously collected six points in 11 games. It's been a huge improvement from Compher, who boasts 11 goals and 38 points in 55 games overall. He's been paired with Mikko Rantanen on the second line, which is a great situation for Compher, but as the season has shown, he tends to be very inconsistent with his offensive production.

J.T. Compher Racks Up Four Points

Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher came through with a big performance on Thursday against Buffalo, posting two goals and two assists in a 6-4 win. His work against the team that drafted him in 2013 included two power-play points. He logged a season-high 22:09 and spent a whopping 7:17 of it with the man advantage. Compher has stepped into a big role, as Colorado recently lost second-line center Evan Rodrigues (lower body) to injury. He entered Thursday having only eight points to his name, but Compher is now in a great spot to quickly grow his tally, with him logging time on the second line and skating with the first power-play unit.

J.T. Compher Scores Twice In Series-Clincher

Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher popped up with two goals in Friday's Game 6 against the Blues to help the team finish off the series with a 3-2 win. He produced a pair of game-tying goals before Darren Helm grabbed the winner just six seconds from the end of regulation. Compher was very efficient with his work as he logged just 9:09 of ice time. He had three shots on goal in total and finished with a minus-one rating. This is his second multi-point performance of the playoffs, although Compher has unfortunately gone pointless in all of the other games. He played less and less as the series progressed and Compher likely won't have a big role in the Western Conference Finals either.
