Keith Yandle Fantasy Stats

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Keith Yandle continued his hot start to the season on Wednesday, dishing out two assists in a 6-3 win over the Bruins. The veteran blueliner became just the third Flyers defenseman to notch five points in the first three games of a season. He's picked up all his points via assists, with two of the helpers - including one on Wednesday - coming on the power play. It's still early in the season but Yandle is starting to look like a steal, with the Flyers having picked him up on a one-year, $900,000 contract. He'll get a revenge game next against Florida on Saturday.

Veteran Keith Yandle had his remaining contract bought out by the Florida Panthers on Thursday. The 34-year-old defenseman has spent 15 years in the NHL, including the past five seasons with the Panthers. Originally a fourth-round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes, Yandle has played in 1,032 NHL games and recorded 600 points. He was on the outs at the beginning of the season and was scheduled to open the year as a healthy scratch but injuries pushed him back into the lineup and his ironman streak remains intact at 922 straight games. This past season, he scored three goals and recorded 27 points in 56 games. Because of the buyout, he'll remain on the Panthers' payroll for the next four seasons. He'll now become a free agent.

Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Yandle recorded the game-winning goal in Monday's 3-1 victory over Dallas. Aaron Ekblad and Aleksander Barkov finished off the scoring for the Cats, who outshot the Stars 52-25. Yandle had four of the shots, adding two blocks and one hit. Yandle looked to be heading towards the exit in Florida before the season started, but has been ever-present in the side and as good as ever with three goals and 13 points through 17 games. He will look for more success against the Stars in Wednesday's rematch.
