Anaheim Ducks left wing Maxime Comtois (upper body) has been ruled out for the season. He wasn't in the lineup on Sunday versus Colorado and the team announced that Comtois won't play in the rest of the games either. The 24-year-old finishes his third full season in the league with a disappointing haul of nine goals and 19 points in 64 games. Comtois looked very promising when he entered the league, but he's had a very tough time in recent years and there are plenty of question marks surrounding his future, with the Canadian winger becoming a restricted free agent in the summer. However, he fresh start at a new club might even be exactly what he needs.
Anaheim Ducks left wing Maxime Comtois ended an awful 14-game scoring drought with two assists in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to Edmonton. He set up Sam Carrick and Simon Benoit for a pair of goals. Comtois had two shots on the net himself and finished with a plus-one rating in 16:36 of ice time. The 24-year-old is having another down year and has managed just five goals and seven points for the campaign in 31 games. It's not easy to put up big offensive numbers either on a team that is getting only 2.26 goals per game.
Anaheim Ducks left wing Maxime Comtois (lower body) will be back in the lineup Tuesday versus Carolina. He hasn't played since Nov. 12, skipping 11 games. It's been a tough season for Comtois, with him having registered only four points across 15 outings with 25 shots, 23 hits and a minus-three rating. The 23-year-old saw his form take a turn for the worst already last season and he hasn't been able to get back on track. With the team struggling, Comtois might get a chance to nail down a top-six spot, but considering his performances, it's unlikely to happen, and fantasy managers should have much better options on the table.
Maxime Comtois Day-To-Day With A Lower-Body Injury
Anaheim Ducks left wing Maxime Comtois is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He missed a third consecutive game Saturday versus St. Louis, although it was initially suggested that Comtois had come out of the lineup as a healthy scratch. The 23-year-old appeared to have hit form at the start of the month when Comtois posted a three-game goal streak, but he quickly cooled off and there hasn't been much to cheer about for him all season. Comtois is stuck on only four points with 15 games played. He's struggling to perform consistently for a second consecutive season.
Anaheim Ducks winger Maxime Comtois potted his 10th goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Minnesota, tying things at two in the second period before the team was forced to take another loss. Derek Grant also scored for the Ducks, who suffered their seventh defeat in eight games. The team has had very little success in 2020-21, but Comtois has done well with 20 points in 33 outings. He's added 63 hits and 53 shots with a plus-two rating. Comtois ended a six-game dry spell on Wednesday, so he should feel good about himself ahead of a pair of games against St. Louis to finish off the week.
Anaheim Ducks winger Maxime Comtois handed out two assists in Monday's 4-3 loss to Arizona, helping Max Jones on the board in a power-play situation and setting up Cam Fowler for his second goal of the year. Jakob Silfverberg also scored for the Ducks, who blew a three-goal lead. Comtois has been the most productive player on the low-scoring Ducks, leading the team with seven goals and 11 points. He's added 40 hits and 32 shots in 19 games to show off some good all-around fantasy value.
Anaheim Ducks forward Maxime Comtois scored his team-leading seventh goal in a 3-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Comtois has been the best player on his team this season with seven goals and two assists through 16 Ducks games. The Quebec native has five points in his last five games, which is impressive with the Ducks not generating a lot of offense thus far. Anaheim doesn't play again until Thursday as they host the Minnesota Wild.
