Paul Stastny Hops Back Into The Lineup Thursday

Carolina Hurricanes forward Paul Stastny will re-enter the lineup on Thursday against Edmonton after sitting out Wednesday's loss to Florida as a healthy scratch. He will take over from Derek Stepan on the fourth line, while defenseman Calvin de Haan also rejoins the fun at the expense of Dylan Coghlan. Stastny has struggled to make an impact at his new club, going goalless in 12 games and registering only four assists. The Hurricanes lineup is stacked, even with Max Pacioretty (Achilles) on the shelf, and it's tough for the 36-year-old to make noise as a fourth-liner.

Paul Stastny Links Up With Hurricanes

Center Paul Stastny will suit up for the Carolina Hurricanes next season after inking a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the club. The 16-year veteran joins the fifth club of his career. He spent the last two seasons with Winnipeg, grabbing 74 points in 127 regular-season games. The best days are clearly behind Stastny, but he has his best goal-scoring campaign since 2014-15 last term, showing that there's still plenty of juice left in him even at 36. The Hurricanes have gone through quite a few changes over the summer and start the season without Max Pacioretty (Achilles), so Stastny could find himself playing a pretty big role for the team early on.

Paul Stastny Produces His Second Consecutive Multi-Point Outing

Winnipeg Jets forward Paul Stastny made it back-to-back multi-point outings for himself on Friday, scoring two goals in a 4-3 overtime loss to Dallas. He put the Jets on the board with a power-play goal in the second period and gave them a 3-2 lead with just over seven minutes left in regulation, but it wasn't meant to be. Stastny was ice-cold for most of February, but he's made big strides lately and there should be more to come, as the veteran forward is currently riding with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler on the top line.

Paul Stastny Helps Winnipeg Beat St. Louis Sunday

Winnipeg Jets forward Paul Stastny tallied his sixth and seventh goals of the season while adding an assist Sunday versus the St. Louis Blues. Winnipeg came up victorious, winning 4-2. In 22 Jets contests, the centerman has collected seven goals and eight helpers. He is averaging over 17 minutes of playing time per game. Stastny plays a key role for Winnipeg and he is a veteran leader. However, he's not a power player in fantasy due to his lack of point production.

Paul Stastny Returns To Jets Lineup

Winnipeg Jets forward Paul Stastny (foot) will be back on the ice on Friday against Minnesota. The veteran has missed eight straight games and enters the lineup on the fourth line. Stastny's had a solid start to the campaign with eight points in 11 games and should move up the lineup quickly once he's fully back in game shape. His return has pushed Kristian Vesalainen and Riley Nash out of the lineup on Friday, with Nathan Beaulieu coming in as a seventh defenseman.

Paul Stastny Lights The Lamp Twice Saturday

Winnipeg Jets forward Paul Stastny scored twice in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Predators. The veteran centerman has compiled two goals and three assists through the first five games of the season. Stastny is centering the team's first line, and he has stepped up his game with the absence of critical players Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele. However, he is not a fantasy factor currently, and his role may reduce once Wheeler and Scheifele are out of the Covid-19 protocol.

Paul Stastny Inks New Deal With Winnipeg

Winnipeg Jets forward Paul Stastny signed a one-year, $3.75 million deal to stay with the Jets on Monday. The 15-year pro was set to hit the free-agent market, as the 2018 contract he signed with Vegas was about to expire. Stastny collected 13 goals and 16 assists in 56 contests for the Jets in 2021. He has played in over 1,000 regular season games in his career, producing 755 points. As far as fantasy hockey goes, the 35-year-old could be a late sleeper pick next season, as he can be slotted anywhere in the Jets lineup and still contribute reasonably consistently.
