Mark Scheifele Establishes New Franchise Record With 101 Points

Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele set a franchise single-season record with 101 points during a 6-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday. Winnipeg was outclassed for much of the night, but Scheifele popped up with a goal and a power-play assist in the third period. Winnipeg's scoring record had stood since the franchise was still in Atlanta and Marian Hossa had 100 points in 2006-07. Scheifele has had a fantastic late-season stretch to surpass the record with two games remaining. His efforts across the last 10 games have resulted in 18 points (four goals, 14 assists). Overall, he had tallied 35 goals and 66 assists in 80 contests.

Morgan Barron Considered Week-to-Week

Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron (lower body) is week-to-week. He missed Monday's win over Seattle and could be out for the remainder of the regular season. The 27-year-old has had the best season of his career, posting 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 65 games. He is fourth on the Jets' roster with 132 hits. Losing Barron is a setback for the playoff-chasing Winnipeg, but the team welcomed back some reinforcements on Monday. Nino Niederreiter and Vladislav Namestnikov both returned to action, with the latter finishing the scoring with an empty-net goal in a 6-2 victory.

Mark Scheifele Collects Three Helpers on Monday

Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele assisted three times in a 6-3 win over the Seattle Kraken on Monday. The Canadian center has been playing great lately with 14 points in his last seven games as the Jets try to capture a wild-card playoff spot. Scheifele now has 34 goals and 97 points in 77 games this year and is three points away from reaching 100 for the first time in his 15-year career.

Vladislav Namestnikov  • C  •  Jets

Vladislav Namestnikov Available Monday

Winnipeg Jets forward Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body) is ready to re-enter the lineup on Monday against the Seattle Kraken. He has been on the shelf for over a month due to a lower-body injury, missing 18 games. This season, Namestnikov has made a limited impact, recording 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 57 appearances. However, the Russian forward will have a favorable matchup on Monday, heading out against a team that has allowed 4.22 goals per game over its last nine outings. Namestnikov is expected to center the fourth line and will be part of the second power-play unit.

Nino Niederreiter Rejoins Jets Lineup

Winnipeg Jets winger Nino Niederreiter (lower body) will return to the lineup on Monday night against the Seattle Kraken. The Swiss veteran hasn't seen any action since the Olympic break, missing 20 games due to a lower-body injury. Winnipeg plans to ease Niederreiter back into action on the fourth line. He will also work with the second power-play unit. After collecting at least 30 points in three consecutive seasons, Niederreiter's production has dipped in 2025-26, mostly due to health issues. He has notched eight goals and 19 points in 55 games.

Elias Salomonsson  • D  •  Jets

Elias Salomonsson Lands in Concussion Protocol

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Elias Salomonsson is in concussion protocol, head coach Scott Arniel told reporters after Thursday's 3-0 loss to the Dallas Stars. Salomonsson was on the ice for two of the Stars' goals but left the action midway through the second period. The 21-year-old couldn't complete the game after a hit from Stars forward Jason Robertson. Winnipeg will likely be without Salomonsson for Saturday's trip to Columbus. Salomonsson, a second-round draft pick from 2022, has made his first 32 NHL appearances this season. He has registered five points (one goal, four assists), 37 SOG, 27 blocks, and 50 hits. Jacob Bryson and Ville Heinola are the options to replace him in the lineup.

Gabriel Vilardi has a Two-Point Performance

Winnipeg Jets center Gabriel Vilardi had one goal and one assist in a 4-2 victory over the best team in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche, on Saturday. He got the scoring started just 3:51 into the first period, and then assisted on Cole Perfetti's goal later in the third period. The Canadian forward is currently riding a four-game point streak and has 28 goals and 62 points this year.

Josh Morrissey Activated From Injured Reserve

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey (upper body) was activated from Injured Reserve, paving the way for him to rejoin the lineup on Saturday night against the Vancouver Canucks. The talented blue-liner sustained an upper-body injury at the Olympics and has missed five games since the Jets resumed their season. Morrissey's return will mark a boost at both ends of the ice for Winnipeg. He has recorded 42 points, 104 shots, and 94 blocks with a plus-10 rating across 56 contests this season. Ville Heinola will be bumped from the first power-play unit with Morrissey's return, while Dylan Samberg and Haydn Fleury will also see less ice time.

Mark Scheifele Expected to Play Sunday

Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele (leg) is expected to play in Sunday's contest against the San Jose Sharks. Scheifele appeared to have hurt his right leg late in Friday's overtime loss to Anaheim and took a maintenance day on Saturday. After posting 87 points last season, Scheifele is on pace for another career high in 2025-26. He leads the Jets with 70 points (27 goals, 43 assists) in 58 games. Scheifele has amassed nine goals and 16 assists across his last 20 outings, though he has finished eight of those contests scoreless.

Vladislav Namestnikov  • C  •  Jets

Vladislav Namestnikov Out Week-to-Week

Winnipeg Jets forward Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body) is considered week-to-week, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. He sustained a lower-body injury in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks. The Russian forward will exit the lineup after collecting 13 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 57 contests. Walker Duehr is expected to take over from Namestnikov on the third line when Winnipeg returns to action on Sunday against the San Jose Sharks. Although Duehr has been productive in the AHL this season, he has managed only 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) in 92 career outings in the big league and should be ignored by fantasy managers.

Nino Niederreiter Recovering From Surgery

Winnipeg Jets winger Nino Niederreiter (lower body) underwent surgery, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. Recently listed as week-to-week, the Swiss veteran's status remains unchanged. Niederreiter has missed two games with a lower-body ailment. Before he was hurt, Niederreiter struggled to find form. He has tallied 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 55 appearances this season, with 15 of his points coming before December. With Vladislav Namestnikov (lower body) also hurt, Walker Duehr is poised to join the third line.

Mark Scheifele, Vladimir Namestnikov Hurt in Friday's Loss

Winnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele appeared to injure his right leg in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks. The star forward was hurt at the end of overtime and was under evaluation when Jets head coach Scott Arniel spoke to reporters after the game. Vladimir Namestnikov (lower body) was also injured in Friday's heartbreaking loss, where the Jets blew a 3-1 lead in the third period. Scheifele's injury could open the door for Jonathan Toews to log top-six minutes on Sunday against the San Jose Sharks. However, the former All-Star hasn't been a good fantasy option in 2025-26 and is currently on an eight-game point drought.

Connor Hellebuyck Set to Start Friday Night

Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck (not injury-related) is expected to return to the crease for Friday night's action against the Anaheim Ducks, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. Winnipeg started Eric Comrie between the sticks in its first post-Olympics game on Wednesday, giving Hellebuyck some extra rest after he helped Team USA win gold in Milan on Sunday. Hellebuyck had a great tournament with the U.S., but it's been a different story for him with the Jets this season. Across 36 starts, Hellebuyck has posted a 13-16-7 record. He hasn't yet registered a single shutout and holds a 2.79 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. The three-time Vezina Trophy winner has allowed at least three goals in each of his last five starts, going 1-3-1.

Nino Niederreiter  • RW  •  Jets

Nino Niederreiter Out Week-to-Week

Winnipeg Jets winger Nino Niederreiter (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week. According to Jets head coach Scott Arniel, Niederreiter was already dealing with an injury before joining Team Switzerland for the 2026 Olympics. He had a tough time in Milan, going minus-three over five games and finishing with one goal. The 33-year-old has contributed eight goals and 11 assists in 55 NHL outings this season. Tanner Pearson is set to fill the void in the lineup, but he shouldn't generate any fantasy interest as a bottom-six skater.

Neal Pionk Out Week-to-Week With New Injury

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk (undisclosed) was labeled week-to-week by head coach Scott Arniel on Tuesday. The 30-year-old was on track to return to the lineup after missing 11 games with a lower-body injury, but a new health issue will keep him sidelined longer. Pionk has had a difficult 2025-26 campaign, posting only eight points (two goals, six assists) in 40 outings. He has also logged 76 shots, 64 blocks, and 84 hits. With Josh Morrissey (upper body) sidelined as well, the rest of Winnipeg's defense faces increased pressure to step up their play.

Josh Morrissey to Miss Start of Road Trip

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey (upper body) won't be available when the team begins a three-game road trip this week. "He will not be available for Vancouver; we'll kind of give you a heads-up from there," Jets head coach Scott Arniel said after Monday's practice. The Jets will restart the season on Wednesday in Vancouver and will also travel to Anaheim and San Jose this week. Morrissey sustained an upper-body injury during Team Canada's Olympic opener against Czechia. The 30-year-old is a key cog for Winnipeg, leading the team in ice time at 24:37 per game and recording 42 points (10 goals, 32 assists) in 56 games. Neal Pionk (lower body), who hasn't played since Jan. 13, is expected to be available on Wednesday, and his return will be a welcome boost for Winnipeg's defense.

Josh Morrissey Won't Play Sunday

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey (upper body) won't be available for Sunday's Olympic final against Team USA. The Canadian blue-liner suffered an upper-body injury in the tournament opener. Since he won't be available for Sunday's game, Morrissey may also miss some action for the Jets. Winnipeg will resume play on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks. Despite his team's tough campaign, Morrissey has enjoyed a solid season, recording 42 points (10 goals, 32 assists) in 56 games. The Jets' defense has already been without Neal Pionk (lower body), Colin Miller (knee), and Haydn Fleury (upper body).

Josh Morrissey Remains Out Against Finland

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey (undisclosed) will miss Canada's semifinal matchup against Finland on Friday. Morrissey was injured during the tournament opener in Milan, and it's unclear whether he will be available for selection over the weekend, when Team Canada plays either the Olympic final or the bronze-medal game. The Jets will also be sweating over Morrissey's status, as he's a key player for them. Winnipeg will restart the action after the Olympic break on Feb. 25 against the Vancouver Canucks.

Josh Morrissey Hurt in Olympic Opener

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey (undisclosed) was limited to 7:10 of ice time in Team Canada's 5-0 win over Czechia on Thursday. Canada opened the Olympic tournament with a comfortable win but lost Morrissey to an undisclosed injury. He took only one shift in the second period. Morrissey has been ever-present for the Jets this season, recording 42 points (10 goals, 32 assists) in 56 appearances. Travis Sanheim, who was a healthy scratch on Thursday, is likely to play in Friday's matchup with Switzerland if Morrissey isn't available. Meanwhile, Shea Theodore could see more ice time after starting Thursday's game as the seventh defenseman.

Josh Morrissey Has Three-Point Night Against Blues

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey left his fingerprints all over Tuesday's matchup against the St. Louis Blues, scoring a goal and delivering two assists in a 3-1 victory. The talented blue-liner earned two points on the power play, including his goal. Morrissey became the second defenseman in franchise history to light the lamp at least 90 times, joining Dustin Byfuglien (122). He's had 10 goals and 42 points in 48 games this season, providing good fantasy value despite playing on a struggling team. Morrissey currently shares sixth place in scoring among defensemen.
