One thing is certain though, Toews and the team have decided together that he won't be traded before the March 3 deadline. The 34-year-old has tallied 14 goals and 14 assists in 46 games this season and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

He missed his second game of the season Thursday versus Calgary after catching an illness bug. Chicago managed a 5-1 win without Toews on Thursday and has heated up with a 7-3-0 run, which has given has given everyone a lift. Toews recently enjoyed a four-game point streak and is now sitting on 27 points through 45 games. He has slightly improved his scoring production compared to last year, which was the minimum fantasy managers could've hoped for. Toews isn't the player he used to be, but he can still heat up from time to time, and who knows, maybe he'll turn back the clock if he lands in a favorable situation when Chicago decides to trade him away.
