Gabriel Vilardi Returning Saturday

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (spleen, upper body) will be back in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the visiting Ottawa Senators. The 24-year-old has missed the past 15 games due to an upper-body injury while he was also diagnosed with an enlarged spleen. Vilardi has dealt with a number of injuries this season but has been productive when healthy, tallying 16 goals and 30 points across 38 games while he also has 93 shots on goal and a plus-12 rating in that time. It appears Vilardi will slot back into the top line alongside Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor on Saturday. The Jets enter the contest sitting in third place in the Central Division with a 44-23-6 record, although the Nashville Predators have moved within four points.

Gabriel Vilardi Returns To Jets Lineup Saturday

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (spleen) will be back in the lineup on Saturday against Ottawa. He's missed the entire month so far, 15 games in total, with an enlarged spleen. Vilardi's inconsistency can be infuriating for fantasy managers, but he's had a good campaign in Winnipeg with 16 goals and 30 points posted in 38 appearances. The former King will take up his usual spot on the first line on Saturday, bumping Alex Iafallo all the way down to the fourth line.

Gabriel Vilardi Diagnosed With Enlarged Spleen

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi has been diagnosed with an enlarged spleen and will miss at least the next five games as he did not travel with the team for their upcoming road trip that begins Saturday in Columbus. He is without a timetable to return. The 24-year-old has been out since Feb. 29 when he skated just 10:31 in a 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars. Vilardi has enjoyed a nice, but injury-shortened season with the Jets after an offseason trade from Los Angeles as he has scored 16 goals and notched 30 points along with 93 shots and a plus-12 rating across 38 games. With the acquisition of fellow right-winger Tyler Toffoli combined with Vilardi's long-term absence, it's likely the latter has lost his spot in the Jets' top six, significantly decreasing his fantasy value down the stretch.

Gabriel Vilardi Set To Miss At Least Two More Games

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (upper body) is out for at least the next two games. Vilardi has already missed three games due to an upper-body injury sustained last Thursday, and now he is set to miss both of the Jets games this weekend. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a breakout year when he's been healthy, notching 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 38 games played. He has fit in well on Winnipeg's top line with Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele, and will likely return to that spot when he returns. He is a good add in leagues with IR spots and could make for a nice playoff stash.

Gabriel Vilardi Questionable For Saturday Following Thursday's Exit

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (upper body) is questionable for Saturday's fascinating matchup against Carolina. He left Thursday's contest versus Dallas early, sitting out the third period of a 4-1 loss. Jets head coach Rick Bowness said postgame that he is "concerned" about Vilardi's availability for Saturday's game. The 24-year-old forward finished Thursday's clash without a point, but he has been one of Winnipeg's most productive players in 2023-24. In 38 outings, Vilardi has collected 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists). Bowness will need to shuffle his top six if Vilardi isn't available at the weekend. Cole Perfetti could make a big jump up in the lineup from the fourth line.

Gabriel Vilardi A Game-Time Call On Monday

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Monday's clash with the Bruins. His absence could be a fresh blow for a team that remains without Mark Scheifele (lower body). Despite Scheifele's absence, Vilardi has continued to perform well on Winnipeg's first line, scoring three times in the past five games. He's had 11 goals across the entire campaign with nine assists in 26 outings. Alex Iafallo might get a chance to move into the top six on Monday if Vilardi isn't available.

Gabriel Vilardi Battling An Illness

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi is feeling under the weather ahead of Tuesday's clash with the Islanders. He might have to skip the game, although head coach Rick Bowness believes Vilardi will "most likely" play. The 24-year-old has registered 10 goals and 19 points in 24 games during his first year in Winnipeg. Alex Iafallo skated in Vilardi's spot on the first line Tuesday morning and will have an opportunity to play a bigger role if Vilardi is out.

Gabriel Vilardi Continues Hot Spell With Three-Point Effort

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi scored in a fourth consecutive game and delivered two assists as the team crushed Detroit 5-2 on Wednesday. Vilardi's four-game streak marks the longest goal-scoring run in team history since the franchise moved to Winnipeg. It took a bit of time for Vilardi to find his feet after missing six weeks with a knee injury, but he's been red-hot since last week, putting together three multi-point performances in four outings. He's had five goals and five assists overall during the stretch.

Gabriel Vilardi Puts On A Show Against Former Team

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi exploded for a career night on Wednesday, racking up four points in a 5-2 win over the Kings. The 24-year-old was back in L.A. for the first time since the Kings traded him in the summer. Vilardi had a spectacular revenge game against his former team by posting one goal and three assists. He entered the action with only three points through his first nine appearances for Winnipeg. After sustaining a knee injury at the start of the season in another battle against the Kings, Vilardi has struggled to perform at his best, but Wednesday could be a sign of things to come, as the 24-year-old has replaced Kyle Connor (knee) on the top line.

Gabriel Vilardi Activated Off Injured Reserve, Could Play Thursday

Winnipeg Jets center Gabriel Vilardi was activated off of injured reserve on Thursday and could be available for the evening's contest against the Edmonton Oilers. The forward has missed the last 18 games after getting injured against his old team, the Los Angeles Kings, in a game back on Oct. 17. "I'm happy to be playing, it doesn't really matter, I just want to play," Vilardi told the Jets website Wednesday in regards to where he will slot back into the lineup. The 24-year-old, acquired as part of the Pierre-Luc Dubois blockbuster this past summer, has one assist in three games along with nine shots on goal and a minus-one rating. He broke out with 23 goals and 41 points across 63 games with the Kings last season.

Gabriel Vilardi Could Return Before End Of Road Trip

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi could return to the club's lineup before the end of their current road trip through Tampa Bay, Florida, and Nashville. The 24-year-old suffered an MCL sprain in mid-October and was initially handed a four-to-six-week recovery timeline while he began skating on Nov. 9. Vilardi was part of the package that came to Winnipeg in a deal that sent center Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Los Angeles Kings. He tallied 23 goals and 41 points in 63 games as part of his best NHL season to date in the 2022-23 campaign and recorded an assist and nine shots on goal through his first three games with the Jets prior to his knee injury.

Gabriel Vilardi Out For 4-6 Weeks With MCL Sprain

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi (knee) has been ruled out for four to six weeks with a sprained MCL. He was injured on only his third shift in Tuesday's matchup against Los Angeles. Rasmus Kupari skated in Vilardi's spot on the first line in Wednesday's practice, and Nikolaj Ehlers took his position on the first power-play unit. Mason Appleton is also a candidate to fill in for Vilardi on the top line. He missed Wednesday's practice for maintenance purposes.

Gabriel Vilardi Suffers A Lower-Body Injury

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi had his revenge game against the Kings cut short by a lower-body injury on Tuesday. The 24-year-old, who was traded by the Kings this offseason, managed to take just three shifts in the game before getting hurt. He exited following a collision with former teammate Blake Lizotte. The team is set to re-evaluate Vilardi on Wednesday. Vilardi has kicked off the season on the top line with one point and seven shots on goal.

Jets Sign Gabriel Vilardi To Two-Year Deal

Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi has agreed a two-year extension with the team, avoiding an arbitration hearing as a restricted free agent, which was set for July 28. The 23-year-old received a pact worth $6.875 million in total, which gives him a cap hit of around $3.45 million for the next couple of seasons. The 2023-24 campaign will mark Vilardi's debut season as a Jet after the Kings moved him last month in a trade involving Pierre-Luc Dubois. He's looking to build on a career-best year. However, it is worth noting that Vilardi bagged 13 of his 41 points last season during a red-hot October and he might not be able to replicate the same productivity in the upcoming season. The former first-round pick has tallied 41 goals and 78 points in 152 career games overall in the NHL.

Gabriel Vilardi Sent To Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Jets picked up forward Gabriel Vilardi from the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday in a deal that saw Pierre-Luc Dubois go the other way. The 23-year-old is moving on after having a breakthrough campaign with 23 goals and 41 points in 63 games. Vilardi is set to be a restricted free agent, but he shouldn't have any issues securing a good deal for himself after posting these numbers. The former first-round pick boasts 41 goals and 78 points in 152 games for his whole career. Winnipeg is entering a rebuilding process and Vilardi should have a big part to play on the team.

Gabriel Vilardi Likely Back Wednesday For Kings

Los Angeles Kings winger Gabriel Vilardi has been absent from play since March 26th due to an undisclosed injury and could not play in Game 1 against Edmonton on Monday. However, he has stated that he feels fit and prepared to return to the Kings for Game 2 on Wednesday. The 23-year-old had a strong season in 2022-23 for the Kings, scoring 23 goals, and 18 assists, while adding 122 shots on goal. He also carried a plus-10 rating in 63 games before his injury.

Gabriel Vilardi Remains Out On Monday

Los Angeles Kings winger Gabriel Vilardi (upper body) won't feature in Monday's playoff opener against the Oilers. He was unavailable for the final nine regular-season games, and Vilardi sadly hasn't managed to recover in time to be in the lineup for Game 1 Monday. The 23-year-old enjoyed red-hot form early in the campaign and eventually turned it into a career-high 41 points in 63 games. Despite him missing nearly 20 games, only three players on the team scored more than Vilardi's 23 goals, so he's definitely going to be a big miss against the high-scoring Oilers.

Gabriel Vilardi Out On Tuesday

Los Angeles Kings winger Gabriel Vilardi is battling an upper-body injury and hasn't joined the team for Tuesday's trip to Calgary. The team considers Vilardi day-to-day for now. His absence means that adjustments have to be made to the third line and the first power-play unit. Alex Iafallo worked on the top power-play unit Tuesday morning. The 29-year-old isn't known as a very consistent scorer, but he has picked up momentum lately with a three-game point streak and could be a decent pickup for managers until Vilardi gets back.

Gabriel Vilardi Misses Thursday's Game

Los Angeles Kings winger Gabriel Vilardi is sitting out Thursday's matchup against Dallas with an undisclosed injury. There was already a big question mark hanging over him when Vilardi missed Wednesday's practice and it's now confirmed that he won't be in the lineup Thursday. The Kings lose their fifth-best scorer who has tallied 31 points in 45 games during a breakout campaign. Vilardi has also been hot to start off 2023, collecting seven points in six games. Samuel Fagemo is set to fill in for Vilardi on the third line. The 22-year-old will be making his fourth appearance of the season, having recorded one goal and one assist so far.

Gabriel Vilardi Tallies Two Points In Thursday's Victory

Los Angeles Kings winger Gabriel Vilardi had a hand on two goals Thursday versus Calgary, helping the team to a 4-3 overtime win. He got the Kings on the board late in the first period and posted an assist when Blake Lizotte scored the team's third goal. Vilardi had four total shots in the game and recorded three blocks with a plus-two rating in 17:40 of ice time. The young winger still leads the team with 14 goals, and having 22 points through 35 outings isn't an awful return, but Vilardi has been stuck in a bad slump since cooling off from a red-hot start. He posted 13 of his points in October and entered Thursday's action with a run of six points in 20 games.
