San Jose Sharks defenseman Henry Thrun (upper body) will be available for Thursday's tilt against the Edmonton Oilers. The 24-year-old has missed nine straight games and 13 of the last 14 contests due to an upper-body injury. San Jose will use Thrun as a replacement for Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body), who was injured on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. Thrun found some offensive success early on in the season but has been limited to 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in 52 outings. On the defensive end, he has recorded 55 blocks and 37 hits.

Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said on Monday that Thrun will be out "for a little bit." After missing four games due to an upper-body injury, Thrun rejoined the action in Saturday's matchup against the New York Islanders but aggravated the injury. Thrun has tallied 10 points (one goal, nine assists) and 55 blocks in 52 games this season. Jimmy Schuldt is poised to replace Thrun in the lineup. Schuldt only recently made his season debut and has not been a proven fantasy contributor.
