Alex Iafallo Traded To Jets

The Winnipeg Jets acquired winger Alex Iafallo in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. The 29-year-old was involved in a deal that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to California. Iafallo will pack his bags for the first time in his career, having signed with the Kings in 2017 after going undrafted. The Eden, New York native tallied 85 goals and 204 points in 420 games with the team. Iafallo played the best hockey of his career last season, but he couldn't get more than 36 points after missing over 20 games with a lower-body injury. He should have a good chance to get past his current career best of 43 points next season in Winnipeg if he stays healthy.

Alex Iafallo Ready To Go Tuesday

Los Angeles Kings left wing Alex Iafallo (lower body) will make his first appearance since Oct. 17 in Tuesday's battle with the Senators. He will skate in only his fifth game of the season after going down very early on with a lower-body injury. It was a bitter blow for Iafallo at the start of the campaign, as he had opened the year in hot form with two goals and three assists in four games. He will go on the third line Tuesday to skate with Gabriel Vilardi and Adrian Kempe.

Alex Iafallo Nearing Return

Los Angeles Kings left wing Alex Iafallo (lower body) is on the cusp of returning to the lineup. He's expected to make his comeback during the team's upcoming six-game road trip. Iafallo has been out of action with a lower-body injury since Oct. 17. He had a hot start to the year before getting hurt, notching two goals and three assists in the first four games of the season. Iafallo has been practicing on the third line with Adrian Kempe and Gabriel Vilardi, who are both among the team's top goal-scorers this season, so he is going to make his return in a pretty nice position. The trip starts Tuesday in Ottawa and it's not out of the question that Iafallo will already join the lineup then.

Alex Iafallo Lands On Injured Reserve

Los Angeles Kings forward Alex Iafallo (lower body) was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. Iafallo exited Monday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Red Wings late in the third period. Prior to the injury, Iafallo had an assist to extend his point streak to four games (two goals, three assists) to begin the 2022-23 season. The 28-year-old recorded 17 goals and 20 assists through 79 games last season, and he is a solid forward option in deeper fantasy formats.

Alex Iafallo Notches Two Goals Despite Kings Loss

Los Angeles Kings winger Alex Iafallo netted two goals in a 5-4 shootout loss to the in-state rival Anaheim Ducks Tuesday. The 27-year-old finally scored after a seven-game goalless drought. He now has eight goals and seven helpers in 21 games played. On Tuesday, Iafallo played alongside Victor Arvidsson and Phillip Danault on the Kings second line. Iafallo, like the Kings, was off to a surprisingly hot start, but he has since cooled down and his stock in fantasy hockey has dropped.

Alex Iafallo Held Pointless Despite Many Chances

Los Angeles Kings forward Alex Iafallo had plenty of chances to score on Sunday night against the Arizona Coyotes. Iafallo had five shots on goal in all, four scoring chances, and hit the outside of the post as well. The forward played 20:04 in all on Sunday and was active from shift number one to the final shift. Iafallo has racked up six goals, 13 points, and 57 shots in just 18 games played. That includes seeing more than 18 minutes of ice time each night.

Alex Iafallo Shifted Down A Line With Viktor Arvidsson Back

Alex Iafallo was moved down a line prior to the start of the Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals game on Wednesday night. Iafallo had struggled a bit in his last two games with just one shot on goal but had four points in three games prior. The left wing who also plays some center had 13 points in 15 games with 48 shots and 57 scoring caches for the Los Angeles Kings. Now he will play on a line with Phillip Danault and Andreas Athanasiou. Danault his no slouch with nine points in 15 games so Iafallo should enjoy instant chemistry there again.

Alex Iafallo Reaches 30 Points With A Goal

Los Angeles Kings left wing Alex Iafallo bagged his 13th goal of the season in Monday's 2-1 overtime loss to St. Louis, getting to 30 points for the year. Gabriel Vilardi and Olli Maatta provided the assists. With two more games to go, Iafallo sits fourth on the team's scoring charts. He's been eager to move up the list lately, collecting four points in his past five outings, after having an eight-game dry spell. The Kings finish their year with two games versus the Avalanche, against whom Iafallo has recorded three points in five appearances this season.

Alex Iafallo Earning More Attention In Los Angeles

Los Angeles Kings forward Alex Iafallo buried a pair of goals, including one on the power play, to help give his team a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. The 27-year-old continues to take advantage of his increased ice time -- he played 20:01 in the game -- and now has seven points (three goals, four assists) over his past six contests. With 12 points (five goals, seven assists), a plus-three rating, 42 shots and 11 hits through 16 games thus far, Iafallo serves, at the very least, as a strong streaming candidate (7% owned in Yahoo leagues) as the Kings play four games next week.
