Trevor Moore Unavailable Monday

Los Angeles Kings winger Trevor Moore (illness) will miss Monday's contest against the Colorado Avalanche. He will exit the lineup due to illness after contributing an assist in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Calgary Flames. Overall, Moore has recorded seven goals and nine assists in 47 games this season. With Moore unavailable, Kenny Connors will make his NHL debut. During his first pro year, Connors has amassed nine goals and 20 assists in 49 AHL appearances. He is expected to skate with Warren Foegele and Corey Perry on the third line.

Drew Doughty Could Return Thursday

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (lower body) will remain out on Monday against Colorado but could return to the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Islanders. Doughty sustained a lower-body injury last week and will miss a second straight game on Monday. The veteran rearguard leads the Kings in average ice time at 22:48 in 50 games. Yet Doughty has struggled to make an impact offensively, posting 14 points (three goals, 11 assists). In Doughty's absence on Saturday against Calgary, Cody Ceci enjoyed increased ice time, while Jacob Moverare slotted into the lineup.

Darcy Kuemper Won't Play Monday Due to Illness

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Colorado Avalanche, according to The Mayor. Kuemper had a rough outing in his last start against the Edmonton Oilers, allowing four goals on 15 shots in Thursday's 8-1 loss. Some time off may help him get back on track. Despite a solid 2.68 goals-against average, Kuemper has gone 14-12-9 across 37 starts this season with a .897 save percentage. Anton Forsberg shut out the Calgary Flames on Saturday night with 29 saves and is likely to start a second consecutive game on Monday.

Andrei Kuzmenko Out Week-to-Week After Meniscus Surgery

Los Angeles Kings winger Andrei Kuzmenko (knee) will be out week-to-week after undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus. Kuzmenko returned from the Olympic break with a two-assist effort on Wednesday against Vegas, but he exited the lineup for Thursday's clash against Edmonton and won't see action for quite some time. The Russian forward has tallied 13 goals and 25 points in 52 games, averaging 14:54 of ice time. L.A. placed him on Injured Reserve and recalled defenseman Angus Booth from the minors. The Kings' frontline could also be without Joel Armia (upper body) going forward after he was hurt on Thursday night. Warren Foegele and Corey Perry should continue to see top-six minutes.

Joel Armia Sustains Upper-Body Injury

Los Angeles Kings right wing Joel Armia was limited to 4:46 of action on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers, leaving the game with an upper-body injury. Armia was one of the standout players at the Olympic tournament and was looking to build on that momentum. Unfortunately, he played only a handful of minutes on Thursday night and could miss additional time. Armia has totaled 10 goals and 20 points in 53 games with the Kings this season. Andrei Kuzmenko (undisclosed) or Samuel Helenius could replace Armia in the lineup on Saturday against the Calgary Flames. Kuzmenko is dealing with an undisclosed injury but was labeled day-to-day on Thursday and might be ready to play over the weekend.

Drew Doughty Exits Loss With Lower-Body Injury

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. He was limited to 15:15 of ice time, exiting the action in the second period. The former Norris Trophy winner has been held scoreless in 19 of his last 20 outings and could struggle to reach the 20-point plateau this season. In 51 appearances, Doughty has managed three goals and 11 assists. The Kings complete this week's action on Saturday against the Calgary Flames, with Jacob Moverare ready to step in for Doughty if needed.

Joel Armia Wraps Up Olympics With Three-Point Performance

Los Angeles Kings right wing Joel Armia amassed three points in Saturday's bronze-medal matchup against Slovakia, helping Finland to a 6-1 victory. Armia bagged an empty-net goal and had two assists, becoming the first Finnish player with three-plus points in a playoff game at an Olympic tournament featuring NHL players. The 32-year-old was on fire throughout the Olympics in Milan and is tied for fourth in scoring, with only the final left to play. In six games, Armia had three goals and five assists. Armia's offensive production in the NHL is far from the same level, but he will have good momentum when the season resumes next week. With the Kings, Armia has tallied 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 51 games.

Kevin Fiala Out for the Season

Los Angeles Kings left wing Kevin Fiala (leg) suffered a season-ending injury at the 2026 Olympics. After Fiala hurt his left leg against Canada on Friday, Team Switzerland announced the 29-year-old would be out for the rest of the tournament. Unfortunately, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports that Fiala won't suit up for the Kings this season either after undergoing surgery on Saturday. Fiala ends his fourth campaign in Los Angeles with 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) in 56 games. While losing Fiala is a major blow for the Kings, the recent acquisition of Artemi Panarin will help offset his absence. The Kings return to work on Feb. 25 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Kevin Fiala Stretchered Off Against Canada

Los Angeles Kings left wing Kevin Fiala (lower body) left Switzerland's 5-1 loss to Canada on a stretcher on Friday. He appeared to injure his left leg late in the third period during a collision with Canada's Tom Wilson. Fiala, who has posted 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) in 56 games with the Kings this season, finished scoreless on Friday. He had one assist in Thursday's 4-0 victory over France. This looked like a serious injury, and Fiala was transported to the hospital after the game. His Olympic tournament could be over, and the injury might also prevent him from playing for the Kings when the NHL season resumes.

Anze Kopitar Reaches 1,300 Career Points

Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar reached a special milestone on Thursday, collecting his 1,300th career point in a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Slovenian veteran became only the eighth player born outside North America to record 1,300 career points. He did so in his 1,495th career game with an assist. It was Kopitar's first point in four games since returning from a lower-body injury. He currently boasts 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 41 appearances for his final NHL campaign, a sharp decline from his usual production. With Slovenia not at the Olympics, Kopitar will get a few weeks to rest before the final stretch of the season, which could help improve his scoring form.

Andrei Kuzmenko Hurt Versus Vegas

Los Angeles Kings winger Andrei Kuzmenko (upper body) left early in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Russian forward suffered an upper-body injury in the first period. He tried to give it a go in the second, but left the action after logging only 8:32 of ice time. 3:55 of Kuzmenko's playing time came on the power play. Due to the Olympic break, Kuzmenko will have several weeks to recover from his injury. The Kings won't return to action until they face Vegas in a rematch on Feb. 25. Kuzmenko has been disappointing with the Kings this season, settling for 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists) in 51 appearances.

Artemi Panarin  • LW  •  Kings

Artemi Panarin Traded to Kings, Signs Two-Year Extension

Winger Artemi Panarin was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday and signed a two-year, $22 million contract extension. In the transaction, the New York Rangers received prospect forward Liam Greentree, a conditional third-round pick in 2026, and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2028. The Rangers are retaining 50 percent of Panarin's 2025-25 salary, giving the Kings a $5.8 million cap hit. Panarin was linked to several Eastern Conference teams, but sources told ESPN that the Russian star wanted to play in L.A. Picking up Panarin should give the Kings' offense a much-needed boost; only five teams have averaged fewer goals this season. Panarin is only a couple of years removed from a huge 120-point campaign. This season, he has notched 57 points (19 goals, 38 assists) in 52 games.

Mikey Anderson  • D  •  Kings

Mikey Anderson Hurt Versus Hurricanes

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson (upper body) made an early exit from Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. He sustained an upper-body injury during the first period, logging only 2:50 of ice time across four shifts. Anderson has taken a significant step back offensively this season, and a serious injury would be another blow for him. Following a career-high 24 points last term, Anderson has settled for nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 54 appearances. He has registered 77 blocked shots and 59 hits. The Kings carry Jacob Moverare as an extra defenseman, and he is set to enter the lineup for Wednesday's clash against Seattle if Anderson isn't healthy enough to play.

Alex Turcotte  • C  •  Kings

Alex Turcotte Unavailable Tuesday

Los Angeles Kings center Alex Turcotte (upper body) won't play on Tuesday night against the Detroit Red Wings. He will miss his second game of the season after sustaining an upper-body injury. The team considers Turcotte day-to-day. Anze Kopitar's (lower body) absence has recently given Turcotte a larger role. He has tallied six points (one goal, five assists) in January, bringing his season total to 12 points (three goals, nine assists). Alex Laferriere is expected to remain as the top-line center on Tuesday, with Joel Armia taking over as the third-line center. Warren Foegele is set to slot into the second line to fill out the lineup.

Anze Kopitar Still Out Saturday

Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar (upper body) will miss his ninth consecutive game on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues. The Kings captain is traveling with the team on a six-game road trip, but Saturday's game comes too soon for him. It's possible that Kopitar will return at some later point during the trip. With Kopitar out, Alex Laferriere is handling first-line center duties, skating with Adrian Kempe and Corey Perry. Laferriere has struggled to make an impact in the role, going five straight games without registering a point.

Drew Doughty Set to Rejoin Kings Lineup Saturday

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (illness) is expected to be back in the lineup on Saturday against the St. Louis Blues. The 2016 Norris Trophy winner didn't play in Tuesday's win over the New York Rangers due to illness. Jacob Moverare is expected to exit the lineup to make room for Doughty. 41 appearances into his 18th NHL campaign, Doughty has recorded 13 points (three goals, 10 assists), 64 shots, 46 blocks, and 22 hits. He hasn't scored any points in his last 11 appearances, marking the worst offensive slump of Doughty's career.

Darcy Kuemper Cleared for the Weekend

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper (upper body) returned to practice on Thursday and will be an option for Saturday's matchup against the St. Louis Blues. Kuemper left Tuesday's win over the New York Rangers early due to an upper-body injury. He was unable to continue after a collision with Rangers forward Jonny Brodzinski. "Yeah, kind of got hit on the side of my neck, and it pinched my neck and pinched the nerves, and my arm went dead," Kuemper said. "So, yeah, wasn't allowed to come back in until we did some further testing yesterday." Kuemper, who is on Team Canada's roster for the Olympics, has shown outstanding form throughout 2025-26, allowing 2.52 goals with a .904 save percentage and two shutouts. However, because of the Kings' inconsistent offense, Kuemper has won only about a third of his starts, going 12-9-9.

Darcy Kuemper Hurt on Tuesday Night

Los Angeles Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper (upper body) exited Tuesday's 4-3 win over the New York Rangers in the first period. He was injured when Rangers forward Jonny Brodzinski made contact with Kuemper's head late in the period. Kuemper allowed two goals on eight shots in the opening frame. He was replaced in the crease by Anton Forberg, who put in an outstanding performance. The Swedish veteran finished with 27 saves and a .964 save percentage. Kuemper, who holds a 12-9-9 record, has already missed time this season due to an upper-body injury. Another multi-week absence for him would also be a blow for Team Canada, which has named him to its Olympic roster.

Corey Perry Back With Kings

Los Angeles Kings right wing Corey Perry (personal) practiced with the team on Monday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. The veteran appears poised to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the New York Rangers. Perry has missed three games for personal reasons. After skating with Adrian Kempe and Alex Laferriere and working on the top power-play unit at Monday's practice, Perry may offer additional fantasy value on Tuesday night. The 2011 MVP has produced 10 goals and 13 assists in 37 contests this season.

Joel Armia Returns From Five-Game Absence

Los Angeles Kings right wing Joel Armia (upper body) will rejoin the action on Friday against the Anaheim Ducks. He has been cleared for the Freeway Face-Off after missing five games due to an upper-body injury. Unfortunately for the Kings, their frontline will remain without Anze Kopitar (upper body), Trevor Moore (upper body), and Corey Perry (personal). As a result, Armia will fill a second-line role and could also get a healthy amount of power-play time. The Finnish veteran has totaled 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 41 outings this season.
