Winnipeg Jets forward Rasmus Kupari will miss the next four-to six-weeks with a shoulder injury sustained in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the visiting New Jersey Devils. The 23-year-old logged just 1:18 of ice time before leaving the contest for good in the first period. It's been a difficult start to the season for Kupari, his first after coming over from the Los Angeles Kings as part of a package for center Pierre-Luc Dubois. The Finn has just one assist for his lone point in 15 games while averaging just 9:02 of ice time per game. He registered three goals and 15 points in 66 games with the Kings last season, his second in the NHL after being drafted with the 20th overall pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Kupari played in 66 games with the Kings last season, scoring three times and delivering 12 assists. He was the team's first-round pick in 2018 and notched 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) in 130 regular-season games overall with the Kings. After averaging barely 10 minutes per game last season, Kupari will hope for a bigger role on his new team, and he could get a chance to cement himself as a third-liner for the Jets if Mark Scheifele eventually moves on.
