Ryan Getzlaf Gets Going Again With Three Assists

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf pulled the strings in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Boston by dishing out three assists. He got things started on a Rickard Rakell power-play goal, then helped Adam Henrique to make a scoring return to the lineup and went on to finish the night with another power-play helper as Trevor Zegras scored the game-winner with just 22 seconds left in regulation. Getzlaf has managed to produce a solid bounce-back season, but fantasy managers can't be happy about his offensive contributions since the turn of the year. The veteran center has logged only six points in in 2022 prior to Tuesday's action.

Ryan Getzlaf Returns Tuesday Vs. Sharks

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) is expected back in the lineup on Tuesday against the visiting San Jose Sharks, NHL.com reported. The 36-year-old veteran missed two games with a lingering and unspecified lower-body injury. Getzlaf has registered 27 points (three goals, 24 assists) in 42 games this season, one of the lowest stat lines since he entered the league in 2005. Despite his declining numbers, and temperamental health, Getzlaf has 63 points (14 goals, 49 assists) in 80 career games against the Sharks and will surely show up Tuesday against a San Jose squad that has lost six straight games.

Ryan Getzlaf Returns Against Penguins

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) will re-enter the lineup on Saturday against Pittsburgh, ending a five-game absence. The Ducks captain will play center between Sam Steel and Troy Terry. With Terry shining on his wing, Getzlaf has enjoyed a very productive season with 20 points in 23 games. He's already surpassed his tally from last season (17) and there should be plenty of more to come from the veteran, who's always enjoyed meeting the Penguins, going for 23 points in 20 career appearances.

Ryan Getzlaf Listed As Week-To-Week

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has been listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury. The Ducks captain got hurt in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win against the Kings. The 36-year-old has turned back the clock this season with 20 points in 23 games, so this is a big blow for the team. Sam Steel replaced Getzlaf on the first line in Wednesday's 6-5 win over Vegas, picking up an assist, and fantasy managers should definitely follow his progress closely. He has another opportunity to impress on Friday against Calgary.

Ryan Getzlaf Questionable For Wednesday Night

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf is questionable for Wednesday's clash with Vegas after leaving Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win against the Kings with a lower-body injury. The Ducks captain logged just 2:48 in this season's first Freeway Face-Off and Sam Steel ended up seeing a lot of time with Adam Henrique and Troy Terry on the first line. Getzlaf is enjoying a very nice bounce-back season with 20 points in 23 games, and he recently became the first player in franchise history to record 1,000 career points. The team has recalled Buddy Robinson from the minors to potentially fill Getzlaf's spot in the lineup if the veteran center isn't healthy enough to play on Wednesday.

Ryan Getzlaf Keeps Helping Out With Another Assist

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf continues to dish out assists. He set up Hampus Lindholm on Sunday night for his 19th assist of the season. The center also had three blocked shots as well while playing nearly 18 minutes. What is more odd is that Getzlaf now has 55 shots in 22 games and just one goal. The lowest career shooting percentage for the pivot was 5.9% in 2011-12. He now stands at just 1.8%. It is safe to say that Getzlaf will eventually score a few more goals with the chances he is getting and fewer assists. That being said, he already has exceeded last year's point total in less than half the time.

Ryan Getzlaf Remains A Duck

Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf signed a one-year deal to remain in Southern California next season. The details of how much the contract is worth are unknown at this time. The 16-year veteran has spent his entire career in Anaheim, amassing 279 goals and 703 assists in 1,101 career regular-season contests with the franchise. Unfortunately, Getzlaf has had a couple of rough campaigns these past two years. He's slowed down quite a bit playing on a young Ducks team that struggled all season. This upcoming year could be his last, and from a fantasy perspective, it would be wise to stay away from the 36-year-old come draft time.

Ryan Getzlaf Scores Lone Ducks Goal In Losing Effort

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf notched his fifth goal of the season in Monday's 3-1 loss to St. Louis. It's his first goal and point in eight games. The Ducks captain still has a bit left in his tank, but he'll be 36 next week and his numbers have suffered a big drop in the last few years. Getzlaf has managed only 17 points in 46 games this season. He carries a minus-14 rating with 69 shots, 64 hits and 45 blocks. The veteran will complete his 16th campaign in the league with three games this week.

Ryan Getzlaf Won't Play On Friday

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's clash with the Sharks. Derek Grant will take over as the first-line center. The Ducks captain hasn't done much this season with five points through 11 games and a minus-two rating, but it's a big blow for a side that is already struggling offensively. The Ducks are bottom of the league in scoring with 1.73 goals per game. It's not yet known when Getzlaf might be back. The team faces San Jose again on Saturday.
