According to head coach Rod Brind'Amour, Aho was absent only because of maintenance and had the morning off. Aho has scored in back-to-back games ahead of Thursday's fascinating battle between two of the hottest teams in the league, and he's notched 16 points in 14 appearances this season. Carolina's star center is currently on the top line with Andrei Svechnikov and youngster Seth Jarvis, who scored his second career goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Vegas.
Sebastian Aho Produces Two Points In Hurricanes Win
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho picked up a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night. It was Aho's ability to create scoring chances that led to Carolina's domination on the night. He had seven shots on goal, four scoring chances, and a hit as well. Aho scored late in the first period then set up the game-winner by Seth Jarvis. Overall, it was quite the night for the Finnish skater. Aho now has seven goals and 16 points this season.
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho recorded his third multi-point outing of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over St. Louis, scoring a power-play goal and combining with Andrei Svechnikov to set up Brady Skjei for his first goal of the season. Aho has cooled down a bit this month after opening the season with a seven-game point streak, but this should be a sign that he'll kick into gear again. The 24-year-old has formed a very prolific line with Svechnikov and sits on 14 points through 13 games. Seth Jarvis is also currently on the line, with Martin Necas (illness) sidelined.

Carolina Hurricanes centerman Sebastian Aho found his way into the box score again with a goal and assist in the 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night. The leader of the Hurricanes played a bit less than 18 minutes as Rod Brind'amour rested the star center during the third period a bit. Aho assisted on a late first-period goal by Jesperi Kotkaniemi, then scored on the man advantage early in the second period behind a nice play by Teuvo Teravainen. Aho is now up to 10 points in October.
