Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho will play in Thursday's matchup against Anaheim despite missing the morning skate. According to head coach Rod Brind'Amour, Aho was absent only because of maintenance and had the morning off. Aho has scored in back-to-back games ahead of Thursday's fascinating battle between two of the hottest teams in the league, and he's notched 16 points in 14 appearances this season. Carolina's star center is currently on the top line with Andrei Svechnikov and youngster Seth Jarvis, who scored his second career goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Vegas.

Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho recorded his third multi-point outing of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over St. Louis, scoring a power-play goal and combining with Andrei Svechnikov to set up Brady Skjei for his first goal of the season. Aho has cooled down a bit this month after opening the season with a seven-game point streak, but this should be a sign that he'll kick into gear again. The 24-year-old has formed a very prolific line with Svechnikov and sits on 14 points through 13 games. Seth Jarvis is also currently on the line, with Martin Necas (illness) sidelined.

Aho is now up to 10 points in October.
