Tomas Nosek Ready For Panthers Debut On Friday

Florida Panthers forward Tomas Nosek (upper body) will make his team debut on Friday versus Dallas. Nosek has been sidelined for the start of the season due to an upper-body injury. However, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice has confirmed that the Czech forward will be counted on in Friday's game. Nosek is expected to center the fourth line, with A.J. Greer and Mackie Samoskevich accompanying him on the wings. He'll be a good addition to the Panthers lineup, but it's safe to leave him on the waiver wire in fantasy hockey. Nosek was limited to only six points (two goals, four assists) in 36 outings with New Jersey last season.

Tomas Nosek Remains Week-To-Week

Florida Panthers forward Tomas Nosek (upper body) is still considered week-to-week ahead of Tuesday's regular-season opener against Boston. He landed on Injured Reserve on Monday. Nosek has been out since getting hurt in a preseason contest on Sept. 23. The Czech veteran figures to skate as the fourth-line center once he's healthy again. Jesper Boqvist is set to fill the role against his former team on Tuesday. Jonah Gadjovich and A.J. Greer will join him on the line.

Tomas Nosek Expected To Miss Multiple Weeks

Florida Panthers forward Tomas Nosek (upper body) is set to miss multiple weeks of action. The Czech veteran was injured in Sunday's preseason contest against Nashville, and Panthers head coach Paul Maurice has said Nosek will miss "weeks, not days." Nosek was expected to start the campaign as Florida's fourth-line center, but his status for the season opener is now up in the air. The Panthers begin their Stanley Cup defense on Oct. 7 versus Boston.

Tomas Nosek Injured In Preseason Game

Florida Panthers forward Tomas Nosek left Sunday's preseason contest against Nashville with an undisclosed injury. He crashed hard into the boards and needed help to get off the ice. Nosek exited the contest after logging only four shifts and 2:27 of ice time. The Czech veteran joined the Stanley Cup champions on a one-year, $775,000 deal, giving the team a solid extra bottom-six option. Nosek has tallied 107 points (44 goals, 63 assists) in 434 career games with an impressive 54.4 faceoff winning percentage.

Tomas Nosek Returns To Practice Sunday

New Jersey Devils forward Tomas Nosek returned to practice for the first time on Sunday after breaking his foot in a Nov. 18 game against the New York Rangers before undergoing surgery. "It feels really good to be back on the ice with the boys," Nosek said after practice Sunday, "I'm back now and hopefully I'll be good to go." His first chance to return to game action will be Tuesday against the visiting Colorado Avalanche. The 31-year-old is in his first season with the Devils and has no points and a minus-two rating across just six games this season. A career-long bottom-six forward, Nosek has compiled 42 goals and 101 points across 404 career regular-season games in parts of nine seasons with the Red Wings, Golden Knights, Bruins, and Devils.

Tomas Nosek Back For Devils Friday

New Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Nosek (lower body) will jump back into the lineup for Friday's meeting with Washington. He's returning from a 10-game absence. Nosek went scoreless in the first two games of the season before landing on the shelf. The Czech forward will team up with Erik Haula and Curtis Lazar on the third line as the Devils continue to play with Jack Hughes (upper body) and Nico Hischier (upper body). Michael McLeod and Dawson Mercer have taken over the center spots in the top six.

Tomas Nosek Doubtful For Monday After Missing Practice

New Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Nosek (lower body) couldn't practice on Sunday due to a lower-body injury and is doubtful for Monday's meeting with the Panthers. Nosek has had a quiet start to the campaign, failing to register any points in New Jersey's first two games and managing only one shot on goal. An injury that forces him to drop out of the lineup would be an additional source of frustration for him. Curtis Lazar, who was a healthy scratch for Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to Arizona, practiced in Nosek's spot on Sunday and figures to jump into the lineup as the left winger on the fourth line.

Tomas Nosek Moves To The Second Line

Boston Bruins forward Tomas Nosek will skate with Taylor Hall and Erik Haula on the second line Tuesday against Detroit. He's replacing David Pastrnak, who suffered an undisclosed injury on Monday against Columbus. Nosek has contributed with three goals and 12 assists so far this season in 63 games. He'll have a chance to make a much bigger impact on Tuesday, with Hall and Haula having produced some great stuff lately by combining for 17 points across the last seven games.
