Travis Hamonic Fully Recovered From Knee Surgery

Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic (knee) is good to go for the start of next season. Steve Warne of The Hockey News has reported that Hamonic is healthy again after recovering from knee surgery. Hamonic underwent a "minor procedure" on his knee after the 2023-24 season ended. Hamonic missed most of the final stretch for the Senators, playing only once since the start of March. He finished the campaign with 48 appearances, notching six points (two goals, four assists). The veteran blue-liner is very limited offensively but has been a consistent source for hits and blocks throughout his career.

Travis Hamonic Expected Back After All-Star Break

Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic (upper body) is expected to return to the lineup after the All-Star break. He will sit out a fourth consecutive contest on Monday versus Nashville. The Senators also have a meeting with Detroit scheduled for Wednesday before heading off to the break. Hamonic has notched five points (two goals, three assists) through 40 appearances while firing off 39 shots and registering 42 hits with 69 blocks.

Travis Hamonic Suffers An Upper-Body Injury

Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic exited Sunday's game against Philadelphia early due to an upper-body injury. He logged 5:23 of ice time in the contest, notching one block. The 33-year-old is among Ottawa's leading shot-blockers, with 69 blocks registered in 40 games. Hamonic has also recorded 42 hits, while his offensive contributions have consisted of two goals and three assists. Erik Brannstrom will have a chance to rejoin the lineup if Hamonic isn't ready to play Tuesday versus Montreal.

Senators Bring Travis Hamonic Back On Two-Year Deal

Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic is set to extend his stay with the team after agreeing to a two-year, $2.2 million contract. The 32-year-old was an unrestricted free agent after spending the last season and a half with the Senators. But he had a good year in 2022-23 and the two sides were able to work out a new deal. Hamonic posted 21 points in 75 games with 143 blocks and 109 hits last season. Senators general manager Pierre Dorion has called Hamonic a "key component" of the team, so he looks set to continue to play a significant role for Ottawa in 2023-24.

Travis Hamonic Traded To Senators

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Travis Hamonic has been traded to the Ottawa Senators for a 2022 third-round pick. This move marks the first major play from the Senators in this year's trade deadline. He is one game away from the 700th of his career. Known as a reliable stay-at-home defenseman, the 31-year-old has three goals and seven points in 24 games this year with the Vancouver Canucks. It is not recommended to pick up Hamonic in fantasy at any point this year.

Travis Hamonic Sustains A Lower-Body Injury

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Travis Hamonic made an early exit Wednesday night against Boston with a lower-body injury. He had only 16 shifts and logged 12:06 of ice time. Oliver Ekman-Larsson ended up sitting out the clash with an undisclosed injury, so it's almost like the Canucks lost two d-men in one night, which is a hard pill to swallow. They can definitely overcome the absence of Hamonic, who's featured just nine times this season, but Ekman-Larsson eats up a lot of minutes and he'll be missed in every situation. Both guys should be considered as day-to-day for now.

Travis Hamonic Questionable On Thursday

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Travis Hamonic is listed as questionable to play in a rematch versus the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday. The 11-year NHL veteran suffered an undisclosed injury in Wednesday's night game versus the Canadiens, skating 15:55 of ice time in the contest. With just two assists, seven shots, seven blocks and four hits through his first five games with the Canucks, Hamonic should likely be cemented to the bench in fantasy lineups given his uncertain availability.
