DFS NBA Picks for Wednesday the 15th

DFS NBA Picks

The NBA continues to roll along with an eight game slate tonight. With eight games on the menu, there are tons of options for DFS lineups. Let’s make some big money tonight!!!

For the DFS projections and pricing, we will be using FanDuel and DraftKings.

NBA Quick Links

Point Guard

Donovan Mitchell (FD: $9,700, DK: $9,100): The last three games have been very uncharacteristic for Donovan Mitchell. He has not surpassed 22 points, while shooting below 35% each game. The pairing of him and Darius Garland has gotten off to a rocky start. However, Garland will not be playing tonight, which means Mitchell will be the primary ball-handler all night against a bad Portland Trail Blazers team. He would be my top pick for the point guard spot.

Dennis Schroder (FD: $6,500, DK: $6,800): Dennis Schroder is another player that has been cold as of late. He started the season hot with his new squad. However, he has been held in check the last few games. Tonight might be Schroder heading back to his earlier form. He is facing a bad Milwaukee Bucks defense, who have been struggling to maintain guards. Schroder against the Bucks earlier this season, had a big night. He finished with 24 points and 11 assists. The matchup and price are perfect for Schroder tonight.

Shooting Guard

Caris LeVert (FD: $6,100, DK: $6,400): We touched on it earlier, but Darius Garland is out for tonight. They will also be without Isaac Okoro. Caris LeVert is probably going to have to play some more minutes and fill up the stat sheet more than usual. However, he has been good as of late already. In two of his last three games, LeVert finished with 40+ fantasy points. One thing we know about him is that he can score. If the Blazers tend to try and trap Mitchell from time to time, then expect LeVert to be the next guy up in terms of scoring .

Derrick White (FD: $6,100, DK: $6,000): This pick is definitely a risk, but you have to take risks with your DFS lineups sometimes. Derrick White is extremely cold right now. However, he is playing the Philadelphia 76ers, who he scored 19 against in their last outing. The big news is that Jaylen Brown might not play due to an illness. That would lead White to having an extended role on offense perhaps. The Sixers are going to focus on Tatum a lot more, which should give White open looks in the corner for three.

Small Forward

LeBron James (FD & DK: $10,000): You would think at this age that LeBron Jame can’t keep doing this, but that is just flat out wrong. The man is still playing a top tier level. Furthermore, this is the second night of a back-to-back, but he only played 22 minutes last night, as the Lakers demolished the Memphis Grizzlies. Last time LeBron played the Sacramento Kings, he finished with a slash line of 27-15-8. $10,000 is very pricey, but it is hard to deny LeBron tonight.

Sam Hauser (FD: $4,200, DK: $4,400): We go from a pricey option to an extremely deep-cut option. Jaylen Brown might not play, which means Sam Hauser could be in line for bigger minutes tonight. Hauser is a knockdown shooter for the Celtics and he excels at it. In his last five games, all off the bench, he has made at least three threes. With the potential extended role, Hauser can have a great night for his price.

Power Forward

Julius Randle (FD: $8,400, DK: $8,200): We are all aware of the bad shooting numbers from Julius Randle, but shooting percentages do not hurt us in DFS. Instead, we love someone like Randle who is going top have a huge volume in all aspects of the game. We know he is not afraid to shoot; and we know he is going to crash the glass. That is why Randle is the perfect option if you don’t want to go for a Jayson Tatum or Giannis Antetokounmpo, who can be a little more expensive. He has also had at least 40 fantasy points in his last three games. Randle is a great look for your lineup.

Deni Avdija (FD: $5,700, DK: $6,200): The Wizards just had one of the biggest collapses you will see this season. It is clear that they are just outright tanking. However, there a few bright spots, one being Deni Avdija. He has been stuffing the stat sheet for the Wizards, while finally finding some consistent minutes under Wes Unseld Jr.. For a nice, cheaper choice, Avdija is a nice look for your lineup.

Center

Nikola Vucevic (FD: $8,200, DK: $7,800): The Chicago Bulls are an absolute mess. I advise all of you to stay away from Zach LaVine until further notice. He just seems checked out. I would even say to not look into the direction of any Bulls player except for one. That one is Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic is going to get his points and rebounds no matter what the final score is. He went through a rebounding downside, but is starting to pick it back up. The Magic don’t have centers that can matchup with him, so expect a good game from Vucevic against his old team.

Mitchell Robinson (FD: $5,900, DK: $5,500): Mitchell Robinson is a feast or famine play every game. Sometimes he can easily be benched for the entire fourth quarter, while there are other times where he just seems like he is everywhere on the court. The last time he played the Atlanta Hawks, it was the latter. He had 13 rebounds with four steals and blocks each, while finishing with 40 fantasy points. The Hawks love to have a true big on the court, which should help Robinson maintain a steady dose of minutes.
