Fantasy Football Week 10 Streaming Picks
After a terrible streaming week in Week 8, it looked much better in Week 9 at each position. Outside of Kyle Allen and Logan Thomas, we hit on several Week 9 streaming picks. Kyle Allen suffered a gruesome injury, which then resulted in Alex Smith throwing for 325 passing yards with one passing touchdown and three interceptions. So, the process was somewhat correct with Allen. Cam Newton also rushed for two touchdowns on Monday Night and took advantage of a soft matchup for his second-highest passing yardage total of 274.
In Week 10, the Chiefs, Jets, Falcons, and Cowboys have their bye week. Therefore, fantasy managers need to replace their starting quarterback and tight end. Week 10 includes several deep-league streaming quarterback options, so hopefully, we find someone to replace Patrick Mahomes and Matt Ryan. As always, we look at Week 10 streaming quarterbacks, tight ends, and defenses with reasons why.
Week 10 Bye Weeks
- Kansas City Chiefs
- New York Jets
- Atlanta Falcons
- Dallas Cowboys
Quarterbacks
Derek Carr vs. DEN
So Derek Carr wasn’t amazing from a fantasy perspective last week, as he completed 13-for-23 passes for 165 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also added 14 rushing yards and ended up ranking as the 22nd quarterback in Week 9. The Raiders trailed 14 to 17 at halftime but then scored 14 points in the third quarter, both touchdowns from Carr. Outside of Week 8 and 9, Carr averaged over 270 passing yards, so these past two weeks seem like outliers.
In Week 10, Carr faces the Broncos, who allow the 11th most fantasy points to the quarterback position at 21.1 points per game. On the season, the Broncos allowed 240.9 passing yards per game. However, they allowed 278 passing yards to Justin Herbert and 284 passing yards to Matt Ryan over the past two games. Interestingly, Patrick Mahomes only threw for 200 passing yards, but the snowy weather and multiple defensive and special teams touchdowns impacted the game. Even with the recent struggles, Carr ranks as the top streaming quarterback pick in Week 10.
Tua Tagovailoa vs. LAC
Rookie Tua Tagovailoa looked solid against the Cardinals, who allowed the 20th most fantasy points to the quarterback position at 19.5. Tagovailoa completed 20 of 28 passes for 248 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also added 35 rushing yards and ranked second on the team in rushing in Week 9 with Myles Gaskin on injured reserve. Anytime a quarterback uses their legs, we love that for fantasy purposes. In Week 10, the Dolphins face the Chargers defense, and they allow the 4th most fantasy points to the position. Therefore, fire up Tagovailoa as the next best Week 10 streaming quarterback pick.

Drew Lock at LV
In the past two games, Drew Lock looked concerning up until the fourth quarter. However, Lock’s fantasy production looked decent at the end of both matchups against the Chargers and Falcons. Both the Chargers and the Falcons rank in the top-4 in terms of fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position. Lock finished 7th and 4th against the Chargers and Falcons. In Week 10, Lock faces the Raiders that gives up the 10th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Lock has the potential to rank as a top-15 quarterback this week. I have more confidence in Lock as a Week 10 streaming quarterback pick than the next two quarterbacks on this list.
Drew Lock the past two weeks Q1-3:
26-of-50 (52%), 255 yards (5.1 Y/A), 0 TD, 1 INT4Q:
25-of-39 (64.1%), 306 yards (7.8 Y/A), 5 TD, 1 INT— Rich Hribar (@LordReebs) November 10, 2020
Nick Foles vs. MIN
Later on, we recommend the Vikings as a deep-league streaming defense in Week 10. However, the Vikings allowed the 3rd most passing yards per game at 287.9 and allowed 315.3 passing yards per game over the past three games. Although it looks ugly during the game, Nick Foles racked up three top-15 fantasy performances in the past four games. Foles also averaged 290.3 passing yards per game, but only 249.4 passing yards per game on the season. With the Vikings allowing the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks at 22.2 points per game, Foles ranks as a deep-league Week 10 streaming pick.
Baker Mayfield vs. HOU
Right before the bye week in that brutal weather impacted game against the Raiders, Baker Mayfield struggled. With that said, we acknowledge that starting Mayfield is risky, even in friendly matchups. As I mention the weather, it looks like the Sunday forecast in Cleveland projects for rain and 10-20 mph winds, so temper expectations.
The Texans defense as a whole continues to allow fantasy points to almost all skill positions, and they allow the 9th most fantasy points to quarterbacks at 21.3 points per game. Through eight games, Mayfield averages 188.9 passing yards per game with 15 passing touchdowns (No. 7). With the low passing yard totals, he averages 15.0 fantasy points per game (No. 26). Mayfield ranks as a deep league Week 10 streaming quarterback with extra risk.
Tight Ends
Eric Ebron vs. CIN
Would you believe someone if they told you the Cowboys led 13-0 against the Steelers for almost the entire first half? Probably not, but that happened on Sunday. With that said, Ben Roethlisberger threw 42 passes for over 300 passing yards, and the trio of receivers led the team. Most weeks, Eric Ebron likely ranks fourth in the pecking order in terms of targets, and it ended up that way on Sunday.
Ebron caught three of six targets for 22 receiving yards and one touchdown, good enough for a top-10 performance in Week 9. The Steelers face the Bengals in Week 10, and they allow the 3rd most fantasy points to the tight end position at 11.8 points per game. Ebron continues to average over five targets per game outside of Week 1. With the juicy Week 10 matchup and the healthy 15.1% target share (No. 14), Ebron ranks as the top streaming tight end pick in Week 10.
Jimmy Graham vs. MIN
After a three-game stretch of zero touchdowns, Jimmy Graham scored a touchdown in Week 9. Graham caught all six of his targets for 55 receiving yards and one touchdown, which ranked him 2nd in PPR scoring this week. Similar to Ebron, Graham continues to receive a healthy 15.7% target share (No. 12) on the season, which translates into receptions plus a high touchdown rate. Through eight games, Graham averages 3.6 receptions and 30.9 receiving yards with a 13.8% touchdown rate. However, similar to most streaming tight end options, we’re looking at a touchdown-dependent tight end. The Vikings rank middle of the pack with the 14th most fantasy points to the position but continue to plug in Graham as a Week 10 streaming tight end pick.
Logan Thomas at DET
Even though the matchup isn’t great against the Lions, we trust the target share and air yards for Logan Thomas. The Lions allow the 22nd most fantasy points to the tight end position at 6.7 points per game. Last week against the Giants, Thomas caught three of six targets for 28 receiving yards. On the season, Thomas holds a 17.2% target share (No. 11), 328 air yards (No. 12), and 20.4% air yard share (No. 6). However, as we mentioned several times, Thomas proved inefficient with 21 receptions (No. 18), 208 receiving yards (No. 22), and -17.8 Production Premium (No. 21).
Trust the target share with Thomas as we hope Alex Smith continues to help with the recently improved efficiency for him. With Kyle Allen at quarterback the past two weeks, Logan Thomas caught seven of eight targets for 102 total receiving yards and two touchdowns. Thomas ranks as another touchdown-dependent streaming tight end pick in Week 10.
Defenses
Philadelphia Eagles at NYG
On the season, the Eagles defense ranks 7th in fantasy points per game sandwiched in between the Chiefs and Rams. Before the bye week, the Eagles defense racked up 20 fantasy points against the Cowboys and then nine fantasy points against the Giants. In Week 10, they face the Giants once again, who they held to 21 points and racked up three sacks, one interception, and two fumble recoveries.

— Thomas R. Petersen 🦅 (@thomasrp93) October 23, 2020
In Week 9 against the Washington Football Team, they sacked Daniel Jones five times. Thus, expect the Eagles defense to sack Jones about three to five times in Week 10 with the hopes of a couple of turnovers. Although Jones didn’t throw an interception in Week 9, he fumbled the ball twice. The Eagles rank as the top streaming defense pick in Week 10.
New Orleans Saints vs. SF
In Week 9, the Saints held the Buccaneers to three points while racking up three sacks and three interceptions. This week, the Saints will take on the 49ers with Nick Mullens at quarterback. It sounds like Raheem Mostert and Deebo Samuel have a chance to return in Week 10, so adjust expectations if that occurs. We also note that the 49ers activated Brandon Aiyuk, Samuel, Kendrick Bourne, and Trent Williams from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
According to Football Outsiders, the 49ers offensive line ranks in the bottom half of the league in terms of run blocking and pass protection. Meanwhile, the Saints defense ranks 7th in Defense DVOA on Football Outsiders, meaning the Saints have the potential to finish as one of the better streaming defense picks in Week 10. Last week, the 49ers faced the Packers, who rank 21st in defensive DVOA. However, we acknowledge the Packers defense played well against a banged-up 49ers offense in Week 9. Mullens threw at least one pick in three out of five games played this season, and opposing defenses sacked him nine times. Prioritize the Eagles, but stream the Saints against a potentially banged-up 49ers offense once again.
Minnesota Vikings at CHI
The Vikings and Bears game is a game with a low over/under at 45, and that makes the Vikings defense looks like an intriguing deep-league pick. However, let’s note the Vikings defense allows the 3rd most passing yards per game and the 13th most rushing yards per game, so there’s some risk here. On the season, Nick Foles averages 249.4 passing yards per game. However, the yardage is trending up over the past three weeks, with 289.3 passing yards per game.
Outside of last week against the Titans, Foles threw at least one interception in each game. Opposing defenses also sacked Foles 16 times in seven games with 12 sacks over the past three weeks. David Montgomery left last week’s game with a concussion, and he could potentially miss Week 10. The Bears already have a below-average passing game, and thus the Vikings rank as a deep-league Week 10 streaming defense pick.
