Edubray Ramos News

Edubray Ramos Lands On DL

The Philadelphia Phillies are putting relief pitcher Edubray Ramos (knee) on the disabled list before Game 2 of their doubleheader against the Padres on Sunday. Ramos tweaked his left knee in Game 1 and will miss some time. He's been great for the Phils this year with a 1.93 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 32 2/3 innings, but he can be dropped in deeper leagues if he was owned.

Edubray Ramos Leaves With Injury

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Edubray Ramos (knee) left the game early during his appearance in the first game of a doubleheader against the Padres on Sunday with an apparent left knee injury. Coming into the outing, Ramos had been fantastic this year, sporting a 1.93 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 33 K's and one save in 32 2/3 innings. While Philadelphia has mixed and matched in the ninth inning, Seranthony Dominguez and Victor Arano are ahead of him on the closer depth chart.

Edubray Ramos Returns from Shoulder Injury

The Philadelphia Phillies have activated reliever Edubray Ramos(shoulder) from the disabled list. Ramos was dealing with a shoulder injury but only ended up missing the minimum amount of games. On the season, Ramos has pitched to an impressive 1.24 ERA and a 32/11 K/BB ratio. For now, Ramos will function as the setup man, capping his potential. However, if Seranthony Dominguez struggles or suffers an injury, Ramos would become an immediate pickup in all leagues.

Edubray Ramos To Disabled List

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Edubray Ramos has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. Hector Neris has been recalled to the Major League team in a corresponding move. Ramos has been good in 2018 and was in the mix for saves for a little bit for the Phillies. Neris was the closer to begin the season for the Phillies, but struggles led to his demotion. He could get a few more saves going forward, but Seranthony Dominguez is still the pitcher to own in this bullpen.

Edubray Ramos Picks Up Second Victory

After Jake Arrieta had done his part by recording a quality start, the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals were tied at three runs in the seventh inning. RelieverEdubray Ramos, the 25-year-old Venezuelan who has seen two save opportunities, converting one of them, came on. He would go on to close out the seventh before escaping a jam in the eighth. While he only allowed one hit in that inning, he hit another batter, putting two runners on before escaping. In the seventh the Phillies took the lead, setting Ramos up for a victory, which he ultimately picked up. For the season, his record is 2-0, while his ERA is now down to a sensational 0.64 on the year.

Edubray Ramos Escapes Jam To Ensure Win

With the Philadelphia Phillies leading 6-2 in the ninth inning of Thursdays series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals, manager Gabe Kapler once again called on relief pitcher Edubray Ramos to see out the game. The 25-year-old, who recorded his first save of the season in a surprise opportunity on Sunday afternoon, entered in a non-save situation. Things did not go well for the Venezuelan, as he surrendered two singles to begin the frame, bringing the tying run to the on-deck circle. After recording one out, he allowed yet another single, loading the bases. While Kapler couldve gone to another arm in the bullpen, he stuck with Ramos, who induced a lineout and groundout to wrap up the game.

Edubray Ramos Serves As Closer, Earns Save

The Philadelphia Phillies switched things up on Sunday, calling on reliever Edubray Ramos to close out a game against the New York Mets. Leading 4-2, manager Gabe Kapler called on the Venezuelan instead of closer Hector Neris following a blown save on Friday night. Ramos, 25, has been terrific early on in this season, carrying a 1.20 ERA into Sundays game. It took 20 pitches, but he closed out the game, despite walking a batter to bring the tying run to the plate. He lowered his ERA to 1.13 on the year, while raising significant questions about the future of the Phillies bullpen and their closer situation.

Edubray Ramos Leads Phillies Bullpen Collapse

Ten innings into a tight, pitchers' duel of a game against the St. Louis Cardinals, the Philadelphia Phillies summoned right-hander Edubray Ramos to pitch the 11th. Considering Ramos was 0-4 on the season heading into tonight and had surrendering three runs his last time out, expectations should've been considerably low. The Venezuelan did not exceed expectations, allowing two runs on two hits and getting pulled without recording a single out. His replacement, Casey Fien, would not fare any better, allowing five more runs as the Cardinals ran away with the game in the 11th, 8-1.
