Gregory Polanco Not Playing on Sunday, John Jaso In
As has become custom, Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco won't be playing on Sunday. He'll be taking the day off, with John Jaso batting third and playing right field in his place. Polanco has been receiving many more days off than would have been expected before the season began, partly due to injuries and partly due to ineffectiveness. Polanco is batting just .242 and barely notched his fifth homer and 18th RBI of the season last week. Jaso, for his part, hasn't been any better. He is batting .234 with five HR and 19 RBI, although in 70 fewer at-bats.
