He briefly latched on with the Rangers but hit just .222 with one homer in six games at the Triple-A level before being released in late August. All told, Harrison is a career .270 hitter with 73 HR, 91 stolen bases, and a tiny 15.2% BB% across 1,209 games with the Pirates, Tigers, Nationals, A's, White Sox, and Phillies. He will be hard-pressed to get many reps with the Reds given their glut of impressive young infielders.

Harrison hit just .204/.263/.291 with two home runs, three doubles, 10 RBI and eight runs scored in 40 games for the Philadelphia Phillies this year before they released him earlier this month. The 36-year-old veteran can pretty much play all around the infield, so he'll give Texas some infield depth moving forward with starting third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) sidelined. The two-time All-Star will begin in the minors for now but could resurface in the big leagues for Texas next month when rosters expand. Harrison remains off the fantasy radar.

The 36-year-old veteran infielder was scratched from the team's starting lineup for the last game of the first half of the season on Sunday, and he won't be available for the Phils to start the second half of the year this weekend against San Diego.
