Twins Sign Nick Vincent To Minors Deal

The Minnesota Twins have reached an agreement with relief pitcher Nick Vincent on a minor league deal. The veteran reliever was cut by the Texas Rangers on Tuesday and already has a new home. He posted a 4.11 ERA and 22/7 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings in Triple-A this season. Possibly, Vincent gets a chance to pitch in Minnesota at some point, assuming he does well in the minors. However, it's unlikely he'll carry much fantasy value as he'll likely pitch in low leverage situations out of the bullpen.

Nick Vincent Joins Rangers Bullpen Mix On Minors Deal

Right-handed relief pitcher Nick Vincent has signed a Minor League deal with an invitation to big league Spring Training with the Texas Rangers, attempting to pitch for a fourth Major League club in the past three years. Texas' bullpen situation is unique due to its seemingly wide-open nature; Jose Leclerc figures to reclaim closing duties, but he's far from a sure thing from a fantasy perspective. Vincent, who posted a 4.43 ERA across 21 appearances with Miami last season, notched a career-high-tying three saves during the abbreviated year. Texas' bullpen is short on veteran arms, which makes Vincent a strong candidate to get an extended look, which could carry over into the beginning of the 2021 campaign.

Nick Vincent Earns A Save On Friday

Miami Marlins relief pitcher Nick Vincent earned a save on Friday, his first since the 2016 season. With Brad Boxberger and Brandon Kintzler both unavailable due to recent usage, Vincent stayed in to pitch the ninth inning after getting the Marlins through the eighth. He ended up with 1 2/3 innings pitched, allowing one hit and striking out one. He inherited three base runners, coming into a bases loaded situation, but allowed only one to score. Vincent won't likely be in the mix for saves on a regular day when other relievers are available, but it seems he is a bit higher in the pecking order than previously expected.

Nick Vincent Picks Up Save For Marlins

Miami Marlins reliever Nick Vincent picked up the save in 1.2 innings of work on Friday. Vincent was signed to a minor league contract at the end of July but was called up as the Marlins' roster began to thin after a COVID-19 outbreak. While it's good for Vincent that he locked down the save, it's likely nothing to be concerned about for Brandon Kintzler, the team's regular closer. Kintzler was not available after having pitched on Thursday, so Vincent was just picking up the slack here.

Nick Vincent Signs With Marlins

The Miami Marlins agreed to terms on a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with relief pitcher Nick Vincent. Vincent was released by the Giants over the weekend and didn't have to wait long to find a new team. Vincent has been a decent reliever with a few spots of upside in his career. He'll be on the 60-player pool for Miami and will serve as bullpen depth.

Giants Release Tyson Ross, Nick Vincent

The San Francisco Giants released starting pitcher Tyson Ross, reliever Nick Vincent and outfielder Jaime Westbrook on Friday ahead of the deadline to submit up to 60 names for their player pool this year. All three were non-roster invites on minor league deals. Ross, 33, struggled to a 6.11 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, 6.4 K/9 and 4.6 BB/9 in only seven starts for the Tigers last year. Vincent, who turns 34 next month, had a bloated 4.43 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 9.5 K/9 in 32 appearances for the Giants and Phillies in 2019. With Ross now out of the picture for the 60-game season, the likes of Logan Webb, Tyler Anderson, Trevor Cahill, Andrew Suarez and Tyler Beede will be vying for spot-starter roles or long-relief roles if the Giants elect to go with more of a four-man starting rotation.

Nick Vincent Leaves Relief Appearance Early

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Nick Vincent (neck) left his relief appearance on Tuesday night against the Miami Marlins due to an apparent neck injury. He was motioning to his neck upon the approach of a trainer and he came out of the game. Vincent allowed three earned runs, two hits and a walk with one homer allowed in an inning of work. The Giants already have two relievers on the 10-day injured list, and it's possible Vincent might be next.

Nick Vincent Activated From Disabled List

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Nick Vincent has been activated from the 10-day disabled list after missing four weeks with a strained groin. In a corresponding move, relief pitcher Ryan Cook was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma. Vincent has been disappointing this year, pitching with a 4.84 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings. Vincent should not be owned in any fantasy formats.

Nick Vincent To Begin Rehab Assignment On Monday

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Nick Vincent will begin a rehab assignment Monday at Triple-A Tacoma. If this rehab stint goes well, Vincent could be back with the Mariners this weekend in Boston. Vincent currently has a 4.09 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 23 K in 22 innings this season. With new shot at saves, Vincent should not be owned in any fantasy formats.

Nick Vincent To Go On Rehab Assignment This Weekend

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Nick Vincent (groin) is scheduled to go on a rehab assignment this weekend. Vincent could be activated early next week if everything goes as planned. He's been out of action the last couple of weeks due to a strained right groin. The Mariners are going to play with seven pitchers in the bullpen until Vincent is back. Vincent should remain on the waiver wire in almost all fantasy leagues because he just isn't going to get save chances in Seattle.
